Sky+ for existing customers

I am an existing Sky subscriber of many years, who resents being asked to pay a higher price for the purchase of a Sky+ box than a new customer.

Is it possible for me to get it for less than £149.00 + £30.00 without having to take broadband, telephone, multiroom and Uncle Tom Cobbly and all?

I'm sure it is an excellent product, but my financial means are somewhat limited at present, so advice would be much appreciated.

I was on the phone to sky telesales for 30 minutes yesterday trying to do exactly the same, I even mentioned closing my account and moving to Virgin TV, I got nowhere with them.

A friend of mine cancelled his account last January and in July Sky offered him free Sky+ and half price full package for 6 months!
  • Try Currys - we got ours for £59 without buying a new TV.
I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!
  • Are you married, has your o/h had an account?

You can close the account in your name & open one in hers as a new customer

    Infuriating isn't it!

It's not as though I'm expecting preferential treatment, just fair treatment. In this case, 'fair' would be to charge the same price as they do to a new customer.

I suppose I could try that one, but it is a lot of hassle just to save maybe fifty quid.

Cannot see anything online to this effect. I suppose I could ring the local store and see what they have to say.
