Hi Folks,
Not sure if this is the right place, but was hoping someone may have an idea.
Basically my wife's mother met and married a man 10 years ago, they both had their own houses which they subsequently sold and pooled the money to buy one new house. Three years ago they then sold that house and moved to Greece.
Sadly MIL died suddenly (@60) and now her husband is denying all knowledge of her will saying that they never talked about things like that.
The thing is, before they moved away she met up with my wife and her 2 sisters and said that if anything happened to them, copies of the will and final requests etc were in a filing case at the house.
She obviously did not realise that her husband was going to act the way he has, so now the girls have no knowledge of where the papers are and they don't know who the solicitor was; The husband is out in Greece on his own refusing to acknowledge anyone.
She also had a company pension apparently but he's also acting dumb about that.
Does anyone have any experience of a similar scenario?
All ideas gratefully received to steer them in the right direction.
