    Also try: http://us.mcafee.com/

Under free services you can select "Scan for Viruses", it's an online scan.
    Nice to save.

What is the best security for a P.C ? My free trial with McAfee is ending pretty soon so I am gonna need some security (preferably free).

AVG Anti-virus is one the best free anti-virus programmes, but until 17th Jan 2008 you can get the paid for professional version with 12 months of updates for free at http://www.computeractive.co.uk/avg/index

Our university only lets us use laptops in the library on their system if we have Mcafee installed on our laptops (and no other anti-virus) (which they provide to us for a one day loan) and then we can take it home and put it on etc. So maybe if u knew a student who's library says the same thing u could borrow one hehe.
  • Bump ... because my McAfee subs just ran out and I really want to avoid paying out unless I have to.

    :D
