hi i hope this is in the right place i have just been made redundant from my part time job my husband works part time and has a very small pension but we have to daughters living at home both working will there wages count towards our income it we try to claim a council tax rebate many thanks

They will be taken in to account as non dependents . Depending on their income your Council Tax Benefit will be reduced by a % that they are expected to contribute to you to help towards the total Council Tax bill on the property.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
