Blender to make smoothies

I'm looking for a keenly priced Blender - principally to make smoothies but crushing ice is also on the agenda. So it will need to be glass/metal.

Looked on ebay, but no bargains - same with Argos sale.

Any recommendations?

I have got the Kenwood New York Smoothie maker and it is fabulous. This is a smaller version.

Thanks for info but I am after a full size blender really. Most of them can do Ice too.

I have a Magimix and can recommend them,yes they are expensive but you get your moneys worth.Just three buttons ,ON,OFF & PULSE,no fancy gimmicks.12 Year Garantee aswell
