Today's The Day!!!!

Well, 3 months after joining the site and reading so many posts (inspirational and supportive) I have finally taken my head out of the sand!!!!
I have opened all those letters that have lain unopened and actually confronted the full extent of my debt!
It was really scary but also actually liberating. It is now time for me to take back control of my life and my debts, rather than my debts taking control of me.
So this weekend sees a real concerted effort in letter writing to all my creditors and facing them head on once and for all. After reading so many posts, I am going to first of all attempt to get a signed copy of all my credit card agreements, and go from there.
I am determined that 2008 is going to be MY year, so to everyone out there, here goes.!!!!!

Have you been making payments to your creditors? What’s you situation looking like at the moment?
If you are having difficulties there are a number of ways that you may choose to deal with it. As a general rule they all need to include a financial statement (SOA) as the foundation from which to begin. Whist we cannot advise you fully on your financial situation via this forum we do have an online advice facility called Debt Remedy where you can complete a financial statement and be provided with advice on the best way to deal with your situation.
