Myself and my wife were at the Metro Centre before Christmas and went to Chiquito(a fav of ours) for dinner. After we paid our bill the staff gave us a red envelope, not to be opened until we next visited the restaurant, which contains either a 25%, 50% or 100% off the bill voucher :j We are planning on going there in the next couple of weeks to claim it, I'm just wondering if anyone else got one and if you have claimed it yet? Of course, we are hoping for 50% or 100% but fully expect 25%, which would still be nice
They serve some quality food in there

Poo... my wife and I were in there 3 times just before Christmas (a good end to Christmas shopping nights!) but never got a "red envelope"... I feel so abandoned. Perhaps I will leave less tips next time!
Quality food, reasonable service, decent prices... indeed Chiquito's in the MetroCentre is a lovely restuarant. With money-off vouchers it becomes even more lovely!
Hope you get 100% off!!! - but indeed 25% seems more likely (still a good saving though)....0 -

Seems you were unlucky, we went on the 10th Dec I think - maybe they had all gone by the time you got there.
We've only been there twice, but the service has been fantastic - particularly the first time. It was a 30-something(or thereabouts) bloke with glasses and he was extremely friendly, helpful and courteous - reminded me of an American waiter(but more genuine). The food is great too, and I agree the prices are very reasonable.
The most frustrating thing about this red envelope is there is no way of opening it to peek inside. My wife and I considered steaming it open, but I don't think even that would workIf it is 100% we'll spend all the money we saved on something else :j
