Has anyone used the CCCS site?
I'm just looking at the Debt Remedy section now where you fill in your details and it says you get a Debt Remedy booklet - is this electronic or does it come in the post?
If it comes in the post - does it say CCCS on the envelope or anything about debt on the envelope? Just because I want to keep it private and don't want my parents to see....

  • Hi

I filled in the CCCs debt remedy online last friday and the booklet appears after you have filled it in, as a pdf document. Once you have read everything they ask you to submit it and they then send you a welcome pack in the post.

I cant tell you anymore as thats as far as i have got to! I am waiting for my welcome pack at the moment.

I am sure someone will be along who can tell you more, i will keep an eye out as I will interested too!

The advice booklet is indeed sent electronically. If you decide to go ahead with a DMP if it's given as an option all paperwork will be sent discreetly by post marked as private and confidential, and wouldn't have anything on the envelope to suggest where it's been sent from.

Hope that put's your mind at ease a little!

I have a question perhaps Matthew could answer, sorry hi jack your post. I'm with CCCS and have found them excellent and actually slept after starting a DMP. when I started on my DMP I very stupidly kept our first direct accounts and didn't open a basic account, I have now! We both had cards with 0 balance, my OH the spender in the family ran his up I then had to use mine for day to day living. Is it possible to now add these to our DMP? Feel really stupid and feel like I have let myself down by not controlling our money and husband properly. Any advice welcome.
Why didn't someone kick me up the backside earlier:mad:

    Alisonbel,

The best thing to do is to indeed speak to Client Support. They will be able to review the situation and see what can be done. Try not to worry too much and don't forget we're not there to judge you!

    Hope this helps

I am interested to know peoples experiences with CCCS.
I set up my DMP with them in November and have so far made 2 payments - December and January. I am still getting lots of phone calls, particularly from 2 certain companies and none of my debts have recieved any payments. Is this normal? Most of my debts say they have not even had any contact from CCCS yet, but others have sent letters telling me they have agreed payments with them.
Lightbulb moment: August 2007. Debts totalling £15,634.
    Debt as of 19th July 2012 - £6,426.
Estimated Debtfree Date: December 2017, but aiming for a lot sooner!
