There have been discussions before about what should get put in the thread title, but different people want different information, and you can't please all of the people all of the time!

I just hover over the thread title (on the main comp sub forum) to see further details, to check what the item is, whether it's something I want to win, if it's an email comp (depends what computer I'm on), and what the entry requirements are.
