Anyone know how to make Nut Cutlets?

Our friends (unfortunately) introduced us to these and we love them! But £1.79 for 4 is too pricey.

Does anyone know how to make something similar?

they are a type of vegetarian/vegan burger

i buy them ready made but will look through dd's vegan cookbooks and see what i can find.

you reminded me i have a burger press so i shouldn't be buying ready made ones either

  • Try this

I use a nutroast recipe but form the mixture into little balls (size of Nugget) and then bake them in the oven - obviously for a shorter time in the oven, or fry in a pan.

I love it, make it with a lentil loaf recipe as well! Yum, yum - my daughter loves them!

    Try using this http://www.veganlunchbox.com/loaf_studio.html website.
You can mix & match your own favourite ingredients & either make into a 'loaf' or divide & make into burger/cutlet type things.
I think it's brilliant & use it all the time.

You're welcome! I think it's great too. I've never had a failure yet & used it to make Christmas luch for me (I'm vegan) & my father-in-law who is veggie.

I had no idea cakes could be made without eggs!
My first nut loaf is ready to go in the oven.
I'll let you know how it turns out!
