Kenwood chef blender - help please

Hi
I wonder if any experts out there can help. I have an old A701 and various attachments gathered from ebay. It probably needs a service to be honest. The problem I have is with the blender attachment - it's stopped working - when I turn it on, the blades spin - but maybe not quickly enough - they don't do the job anymore - it has been fine up until now. Any suggestions for DIY, please?
