Vouchers and Tesco's - 10%

I just wanted to come and RANT
My local Tesco Extra is usually really great about accepting coupons so I went along today, got a £60 shop - mostly alcohol for my daugher's christening and 3 packs of Nestle cereal. Nestle had send me £6 of coupons to replace a faulty box of cereal so I handed the checkout girl these and my usual bunch of coupons (no repeat coupons, nothing that doesn't scan etc...). The Nestle coupons wouldn't scan so she called Customer Services over who then said that they would only accept 1 Nestle coupon per Nestle product bought and 1 extra. This made me mad as Nestle specifically sent these to replace a product - so surely I should be able to walk in and exchange the vouchers for a whole product? I.e. one box of cereal for £2 of vouchers...
Then she said that they would only take coupons for 10% of my shop so £6...ok fair enough I thought until she said that that INCLUDED the Nestle vouchers!! I said that was hardly fair as Nestle didn't send me the vouchers saying - "we'll replace your faulty product but only when you spend a minimum of £30 so it is only 10% of your shop" etc... But she wasn't having any of it. I should have really told her to leave it and not bother with any of the vouchers and to take the cereal off of the bill but I was too wound up to think straight.
I then went to the other Tesco's down the road and got my own back by getting £15 worth of vouchers off of a £25 bill and then £25 off of a £60 bill. Made me feel a lot better and all the cashier said (nice young chap) was "Wow where do you get all these coupons from?" I told him my nan sends them to me and I had no idea where she managed to find them all - he just said "cool! makes your shopping cheaper!" and laughed. THAT'S the kind of service I like from Tesco's!!

I think I'd write to Nestle again, just to let them know the trouble you've had. And I would write to Tesco as well, write rather than email or phone.
And I wouldnt set foot in the first Tesco for a long while, however far away Tesco number 2 is.
I think that I would have put the Nestle coupons through as a seperate transaction if you are buying the products. Also I would take them to a cashier I know to be a jobsworth just to annoy them. LOL
