Hi
I was really happy today when I received an email to say I was a runner-up and had won the jungle book on dvd :j
But I am not sure it is genuine - copy of the email -
Dear Jungle Book winner,
Congratulations you are a runner up of the The Jungle Book competition. Your prize consists of a Jungle Book 40th Anniversary DVD.
The Terms & Conditions of the prize did state that you would be contacted by a Kids UK email address from AOL though unfortunately we are having problems with this email address therefore I am contacting you as I work at AOL and will be arranging the prize.
In order to redeem your prize please contact me by email by Monday 14th January 2008 confirming your postal address, email and telephone number. Please can you also ask your parent or guardian to complete the attached prize acceptance form and return it to me at the below address by the 21st January 2008. If you do not hear from me within 24 hours of confirming your details please ask your parent or guardian to contact me on the below telephone number. If I do not receive the prize acceptance form and email confirmation from you by the above date your prize will be forfeited.
Once I receive confirmation and the prize acceptance form I will provide you with further details of your prize.
Congratulations again!
The attached form was asking my parent or guardian to fill in (hehe I'm in my 30's) I don't normally enter if I would have to do it as a child, but could of for this. The thing that rang alarm bells with me is they are asking for a copy of my driving licence or passport - not really happy about that
Has anyone else had this?
Many thank

not sure but there have been a few winners of jungle book but maybe you could ring them
well done if it's a win! 0 -
I would steer clear, I have never had anyone ask for a copy of my driving licence or passport (although I have not won that much!), especially for something like a dvd!Best win 2011: Maldives Holiday!0

Can you remember if you entered this comp here, posted by Kipper?
The Ts and Cs mention that winners will be contacted by someone from Kids UK, and also that a parent or guardian would have to complete and return a prize acceptance form
A couple of other MSE'ers have won the same DVD - see here - and one of them also mentioned about having to return an acceptance form - might be worth sending them a PM and asking whether they had to send a copy of their driving licence or passport....Best win ever: Trip to the Galapagos Islands in 20100 -
i would have thought it sounds okay to me, you could always email back or contact to find more details before you send your details to themWeight Loss - 102lb0
