Sony CDXTGT410 CD Radio with USB.
Does anyone know if this is is any good? Also does anyone know if the CD player is shockproof? (i.e. won't jitter whilst driving over cobbles!)
Thanks
D.

Yo. I have just bought this one, I won't bore you with the details but I had done some research to make sure I got the best features vs price combo ... and I do know what I am looking for in the car stereo department ! Also I needed a Sony one because I like their stuff and I wanted it to work with my existing Sony CD multichanger and joystick remote control.
This one ticked all the boxes for me. It's great. The front USB is particularly useful as you can use it to charge any device while on the move - I am currently using it with my TomTom since my cigarette lighter is out of use at the moment - the only thing is that the head unit will automatically switch to that input when you plug anything into the USB, so you just have to switch it back to the CD or whatever.
BUT - if you want to use it to control your iPod, it's rubbish so don't bother ... but then again most are rubbish with iPods.
Hope that helps !0 -
And it doesn't jitter.0

If you want this stereo look on ebay at a shop called Ice Clear Out. The price is £69.94 plus £5.99 postage. We bought our daughter one from here and it works fine. It was delivered quickly as well. Hope this helps. 0 -

I do not know if this link will work0 -
Thanks - had a read of both the Argos website and the eBay shop, and though the eBay one is cheaper it does not seem to be as reliable in terms of returns (i.e. I don't want to have to pay for postage to return it if it is faulty!)
Thanks very much, have a beer on me [DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]

OOS everywhere, plus the Aux connection isn't at the front.[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]
