Ebay - Loads of people buy exercise equipment then keep it hanging around until they sell it. Bag yourself a bargain and then when you stop using it you should get your money back selling it on again.
Do a search for within a radius you are willing to travel as they will be pick up only. The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
I was in Asda earlier and they had some there!
Try Argos too.0 -
You could try this one at sainsburys.

This one from ebuyer.com looks pretty good for the price for a magnetic brake one and since Ebuyer has bought by a new owner, customer services has become really good too. They have couple of cheaper than this one but looks really cheap too. I had bought Star Shaper stuff in past and it was well built.

Hi Jimmy
I have the Kirsty cross-trainer which I don't think I would recommend to a male as it's quite a light, girly design. You may want to consider the following when you make your choice:
1) Overall weight and portability if you wish to move it from room to room.
2) Assembly time/difficulty (if self-assembly).
3) Size of 'footprint' - some are very large!
4) Silent or near-silent operation unless you don't mind the noise!
5) Large, clear computer display customisable with your personal info.
Hope this helps.0
