Toys and importing directly from China?

Hi there most children's toys come from china and of course are a lot cheaper. does anyone know of any sites which are chinese websites which would enable us to buy directly from manufacturers in china rather than pay the extortionate Uk prices? Any tips? maybe some of these moneysavers could buy in bulk to make it worthwhile? maybe not worth it after cost of postage? also bearing in mind that it has to be made to european safety standard.
