Woolworths Bargains (merged)

Options
I popped into my local Woolworths in Folkestone today and they had various toys on sale at a large discounted price. A few items that seemed rather good (and that people were buying pretty fast) were a variety of TY beeney babies all reduced to £1.00, I think they are normally £5 each. They had varous types of dogs, bears, as well as a hippo, turtle, an I love you bear and a few more that I cannot remember. They also had two different types of Beyblades sets also reduced to £1 each from £7.00 or £8.00 I think. These are items that were all the rage in previous years and have been very hard to find, it seems now they have an abundance of stock they can't shift! Well at a pound each I think they will find plenty of bargain hunters willing to lighten their load a little. Happy hunting!

I noticed they had lots of seeds and bulbs reduced in the Folkestone one at the weekend too.

Managed to pick up some Winnie the pooh cactus growning kits with mini propogators for 98p each. Packed them away for xmas pressies...well worth it, even better as I managed to pay with a voucher I'd got from doing an online survey of some sort. :j

Will pop in later and look at the toys!

  • Woolworths (former Big W) at the Jewel, Edinburgh doing lots of half price toys yesterday (should still be on today) and also buy one get one half price on Batman stuff (new film). Also as mentioned above Winnie the Pooh seeding kits (as well as lots of other plant kits). I got a kids "A Frame" wooden bench and table set (seats 4) for £12.49 - reduced from £19. The wood is pre-treated too so you just have to assemble it (no problem). My neighbour spotted me coming in with it - she might have had a better day if she hadn't as she paid £17 for her bargain bench/table at Argos last week and she had to treat the wood before using it.

The branch in Northampton has the Beyblades for £1 - I got 4 of them (they only have 2 types left) and there were about 10 left on the shelf after I bought mine.
