Hello All,
I thought that with the New Year eventually here I would get my act together and sort out my finances, put them down on paper and get organised. Although I seem to get by, I would really love any other advice that you people have.
Here we go;
Student Loan - £7050.74, I've not really included this before as about £22 did go out to this every month, but I now have a new job with a higher salary, so not sure how much gets paid off at the mo.
Personal Loan - £15,651.88 - this consolidated all the credit card debts I had along with the remainder of the loan
Natwest Credit Card - £183, APR about 14% had to use this in an emergency as my car failed the MOT this weekend
Overdraft 1 - £400
Overdraft 2 - £150
No idea as to the APR's of these, think I get charged about £1.58 a month!!
Loan from my Mum £500
So, that's the debt, here are the bills(monthly) for the house;
Rent - £470 a month
Landline/Internet - £39.00
Water - £14.10
Electric - £17.56 (average over year)
Gas - £23.40 (average over year)
TV License - £11.37
Council Tax - £80
TOTAL: £655.42, but I put £660 aside
My personal bills(monthly);
Loan Repayment - £269
Car Insurance - £20
Car Tax - £10
Mobile - £35.00
Gym - £25 (I do make use of this and go about 5 times a week)
Train Ticket - £94.90
Petrol - £80 ish
Total - £533.90
Incomings:
Wages - £1535.01, every penny counts!!!
£100 in rent from my sister who is staying with me while doing her teacher training.
So, I have left, £341.11, this covers food and anything else that comes up, as I don't budget for anything, just pay out when I need to, but I think I may need some kind of plan.
I'm unable to change my utility suppliers due to renting.
Thanks for taking the time to have a read.

Hiya, looking at your figures, there's not much leeway for making savings unless you cancel the gym and the mobile, which I can understand your reasons for not wanting to do.
You can probably minimise the amount you need to spend on food by scouring the Old Style board for ideas for cheap meals.
Have you looked at ways of increasing your income? There's an Up Your Income board on here that might be worth a look."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
