Good morning, white rabbits.
It's looking very misty out, but the forecast is for a dry day. We didn't have any trick or treaters last night, so we will have to share the sweets I bought just in case. I went to bed about 10.30 and could hear fireworks going off nearby, I suppose we'll have them all week now. Luckily big dog isn't bothered by them, but I do feel sorry for the pets that are.
No plans for today yet other than putting away yesterday's washing. Leftover pork and cauli cheese with roasties for dinner, nice and easy.
@RedRuby1231 I haven't seen you on here for a couple of days, have I missed you? I know this is a difficult time for you, hope you and the family are ok.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. No fog/mist this morning despite it being forecast, though it does look a bit miserable out there.
No plans for today other than stripping the bed and getting that festooning the upstairs once it's washed. The dreaded re-make will be done gradually as usual!
I was a trick or treat misery last night! I didn't want a constant stream of them knocking and interrupting my Strictly viewing! So I turned out all the lights and watched it in peace in the back bedroom.
I've got some mini chicken fillets out for my lunch but yet to decide what they will manifest into.
Have a lovely day folks if you can, with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Thinking of RUBY and hoping all is going as well as it can at this sad time. A gentle hug for YL. These anniversaries don't get any easier do they. It's now 8 years since I lost my Bob and I still miss him every day. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
It's a glorious morning, cold but the sun is shining. Bedding washed and on the line along with another load. I'll wash my dressing gown once I've had a shower.
I'm off out with DD and family to Doune Castle today, taking a hot picnic with soup and baked potatoes - could be a bit of a disaster!
Busy day yesterday, eventually got the garlic planted after spending over an hour weeding the bed but it's all gone now. Dug up the last of the potatoes from neighbour's garden so they can be shared out later. Also did some food shopping and made soup, cleaned the bathrooms and had a hoover round.
My trusty Chromebook seems to have given up the ghost so I'm on the big laptop, struggling with the placing of the keys!
Quiet night Hallowe'en wise, my house was in darkness so no callers thank goodness. Like you remmie there were a few fireworks going off but nothing too late.
Missing you Ruby, hope you're ok.
Hugs to anyone else in need. Take care. XX

Morning all - pinch, punch, first of the month. Thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
Outside looks so inviting, pale blue sky and bright sunshine, yet it's so cold. And we're still in autumn.
My appointment was good, we chatted on for ages after the medic stuff was done. The pharmacist is so lovely, we had a good laugh about the the ditzy one at the surgery (the one who messed up my script). I didn't need any shopping and the rest of my day was spent slobbed in front of the telly - what a waste of a day it was. There's only two young children round here and they have never knocked on my door at Halloween. And also no fireworks going off. A few years ago the crew of a large vessel moored out near the harbour had a firework party which caused absolute mayhem. We don't have street lights or any noise usually so the residents of the wee village opposite were so shocked and upset. Apologies were very swiftly sent across and all went quiet again.
Today I'll be joining @TravellingAbuela in changing the bedding and with some luck, getting it dried on the line. I have more of my carrot and lentil soup to have for lunch and I've boiled a couple of eggs for extra protein.
Take care all, hugs and thoughts to those in pain, having family problems or generally going through tough times. xx

{{hugs}} for @RedRuby1231 and @YorksLass xx
Beef casserole in the oven for dinner. Bedding hanging on the line but don't think it will dry as it's quite calm and misty out there. I'll probably bring it in later and hang it upstairs
Waiting for shopping delivery and DS will be up later for his and the beef casserole. Just remembered forgot to get dessert out of the freezer so I'll wish you all a good day xx

Morning everyone
I've got a load of washing almost finished, I'm hoping to get it outside to dry, but it's drizzling, the forecast says no rain all day! Hopefully it will cheer up.
I had a lovely quiet afternoon yesterday, pottering around doing some jobs, but mostly reading. I'm going to shampoo my landing and stairs this morning and will go down to see mam and dad this afternoon. I've just had a nice long chat with DD in Nuremberg, she's very sore this morning as she did a Hyrox competition yesterday, she has work to do as she was off on Friday.
Best get on , hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons and hello to November.
We had a yellow weather warning for fog last night lasting into this morning; I couldn't see anything more than mist but what it was like overnight could have been another matter. The weather chart says today will be overcast with rain likely this afternoon, gentle breezes and daytime temperatures of 9/10 deg dropping to 5/6 overnight.
My walk out yesterday was very pleasant in the sunshine and I got done all I wanted to do - apart from forgetting to take the bag of soft plastics for recycling. Never mind, it can wait until next time. The garden of the house where the Little Library is has a large variegated holly tree in it and I couldn't help but notice how many berries it has on it. It looked a real picture against the blue sky. As if that wasn't enough of a reminder of winter fast approaching, outside the Co-op there was an A-board announcing their Xmas sandwiches are now in store and I saw two Xmas-specific adverts on TV last night. 🙄 I didn't get any trick or treaters although there was a large group doing the rounds in their Halloween outfits; all good fun and supervised by adults so nothing rowdy. Not too many fireworks either.
As for today, I'll be putting the air fryer through its paces again with fruit scones. If they turn out as well as the Yorkshire parkin did, I'll be pleased. Dinner will be a couple of lamb kebabs from the freezer with mash, sprouts and carrots. I'm looking forward to watching the new Blue Planet III tonight and before that there's a C5 programme about the history of New York's Grand Plaza hotel that sounds interesting - as well as being a chance to see how the other half lives. 😁
@TravellingAbuela - Thanks. No, it doesn't get any easier, just less difficult, iyswim.
Have a peaceful Sunday, hugs for anyone needing them. Take care, stay safe and well. xx

I realised that I hadn't returned after starting this morning!
It's dull and dreary here, I feel a bit like that myself!
We closed our blinds early last night, I didn't particularly want any trick or treaters, sounds miserable I know, but there it is. We did hear a firework or two, there'll be more in the coming week I suppose.
We should really get out for a walk today, it's too easy just to sit at home in the autumn/ winter months, even a short walk brightens us up a bit, otherwise we sit down in the late afternoon and start dozing off.
I've just pottered round the house so far today, done a bit of washing which will have to hang upstairs.
Enjoy your carpet shampooing Dp1, hard work isn't it.
Thinking of you YL, and TA, RedRuby, and anyone else needing a hug.
Take care folks, be kind to yourselves.
