Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers. Glad you're feeling better.
It's dry here at the moment, coal delivery this morning so I've opened the side gate ready. DW went on last night as did the WM, washing on the airer should be dry when I get home tonight.
Good to hear from you TA, take your time and look after yourself.
Oh dear Mehefin, that sounds like an expensive fix for your car.
Shame about the bulbs Chrisca.
Glad you're back in your own room Coxy, it's been ages!
It was the Hallowe'en parties at school last night, hopefully there's not too much clearing up to do. The Parent Council are very good at tidying so shouldn't be too bad.
Heard that my car is still waiting for a tailgate so I won't be getting it back for a while. Someone is coming out today to change the battery in the key for the one I have - very good service from them.
Have a good day if you can. Take care. XX

Morning, thanks Gers.
Good to hear from TA.
Seems to be quite a nice morning, bright, not raining.
No particular plans for today, just the usual jobs. Well apart from a bit of baking - I said I would make some flapjack biscuits and some cup cakes for dgd 's Hallowe'en party so there's that to do.
Thoughts to the sad and poorly, take care folks.

A foggy start here, as predicted. My least favourite weather 😞
DM’s appt was ok - scan results are stable and after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing he decided to start her on the new treatment and see what happens. She’ll likely need another blood transfusion next week but that can’t be solved as she wouldn’t tolerate the chemo needed (and wouldn’t want it anyway). So fairly good all in all.
I managed to clear a few summer pots and plant some more bulbs in the afternoon. I think it’ll be indoor jobs today probably cleaning the conservatory that gets turned into a plant storage area over-winter. Grocery shopping, tip run, charity shop drop off to do this morning and seen as I’ll be passing, it’d be rude not to pop into the fabric shop. There is actually loads that I need and even more that I want and it’s my very favourite thing to buy!Have a good day

Good morning
It's a foggy start here too, forecast to be so for the next few days.
DH picked up his order yesterday and I had a mooch around Morries, only picked up a pork joint on offer which we'll have at the weekend. No plans for today as yet, will see what the day brings. Either burgers or sausages for tea tonight.
TA Good to hear from you, come back when you're ready.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning folks and once again sorry for my absence. And thank you so much for all the messages too. I think I am slowly getting back on par so be prepared for my boring waffle soon!
I should have been going to the dentist this morning (just a check up) but I got a call at 8.30 telling me the dentist was ill and could they rearrange my appointment. It was quite a relief really as I didn't feel like going anyway! And as it's such a lovely day I actually feel like tackling one or two much neglected jobs. It'll be light jobs only for now but I am beginning to feel as though I am living like Miss Havisham!
Have a good day all and enjoy the much needed sunshine if you have it. Take care all x

So pleased to hear that you and your daughter are ok TA
A very good talk from the jam firm heritage curator yesterday and we did get a sample ,I chose marmalade .
Then a lovely lunch with 7 of my friends at a Turkish restaurant, such huge portions,I had to ask for a doggy bag and with some salad that’s lunch sorted today as well,
They didn’t mind us chatting for ages and we have agreed to do it again in January ( which always seems to last 3 months,!)
Stay safe all

Morning two - I've been up the big town early doors and now back with the shopping put away. The morning is so lovely despite being cold. There was a low-lying mist over the sea and land with a pinky-blue sky. All's quiet though filming has restarted at the big house so there's more traffic than normal.
The grass was eventually cut by my nice chap and he also did a temporary fix to the fallen fence. He's coming back next month to do a better repair and strim back the invading brambles and trim the hydrangea too. The new cleaning women came. We had a lovely chat and they've agreed to come once a fortnight or so starting next week. I think that they'll do a more thorough job than my current man.
I checked through my self-assessment form done by the accountant and authorised him to submit it. I'll wait a week before paying the due instalment so make sure that it's been received OK.
Today I plan to make some carrot and coriander soup, catch up on GBBO and a couple of other programmes. I need to order some items from big river then that's me done.
It's lovely to see some good'ish news here, we are all in a bit of the doldrums (me too) so something good is cheery. I hope that things remain on the up and all are safe and warm. xx

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
@TravellingAbuela - We were all missing you so it's good to see you back. Post as/when you can or feel like it, we don't mind the boring waffle!
For some unknown reason I forgot to post yesterday, not that there was anything especially interesting to write about. SM delivery came with just one sub; my pantry is well stocked again and I've started the Xmas stores off with one or two treats. Then I listened to the Budget while doing the last bits on the Xmas cross stitch; that will get a wash/press today before framing it so that's another one off the To Do list.
Paul the weatherman has said we should be in for a few drier and sunnier days but to be prepared for chilly nights so the winter duvet could be coming out of storage this weekend. My recent request for a renewed repeat prescription has been approved and the pharmacy has texted to let me know my meds are ready for collection (pleasingly quick service) - that might be a job for tomorrow or early next week. Today's highlight is the Open Reach chap coming to install full fibre broadband and connection to a new ISP. Dinner is a chicken kiev with sides of pasta & veg salad and cherry tomatoes.
Have a good day all, take care, stay safe and well. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
