Pension Taxed At 50%

Are you sure you are getting £241.30 a week (£965.20 if paid 4-weekly) - is that the actual amount appearing on your bank statement, or have you worked on the assumption that's what you are getting?
Looking at one of your previous posts, you are getting a 'Protected Payment' :
Have you taken this into account? £179.60 was the 'regular' weekly state pension amount in the tax year 2021/22, and your Protected Payment was on top of this - a situation which would have continued, so you'd now be getting £241.30 a week PLUS the Protected Payment (which would have increased since your post in 2021).
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!2 -
… and if this is relating to the 2025/26 tax year, the full NSP was 230.25 a week which (with your Protected Payment, indexed by CPI) would probably have put you on closer to £260 a week of SP?
Which, together with your private pension, could conceivably get us to the mid-£13k pa figure calculated by a previous poster.
