small pot transfer - Utmost

My wife has a small DC pension which is with Utmost (50k). She would like to transfer it to a good drawdown provider. Any recommendations please? She has no other provider set up (with NHS only)

Not happy with Utmost. The communication is terrible and despite being in a growth fund performance is below average.

Investment growth is related only to the investments and is not affected by the actual provider. Although many providers will have their own in house funds which can confuse the issue.

There are many DC providers that you could transfer to. Some well known names are:

HL : Standard Life; Fidelity; AJ Bell ; Vanguard, plus others.

There are some very low cost/free providers, which ( in my opinion) are more suitable for accumulation than drawdown. With a pot of £50K, fees will not be that great, so I would personally stick with one where you should get less issues.

For pot that size, I would go for Vanguard. 2nd choice would be ii.

Tricky choice isn't it? You won't find out what the customer service is like, how the web site works, how easy it is to operate and so on until you've taken the plunge.

Does it have a Guaranteed Annuity Rate? If so, your wife will have to take regulated advice before she could transfer.

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
