I would say that it actually increases the cost of the advice as its more complex.

You can DIY. You don't need an adviser.

I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

I had never heard of Alltrust or its SIPP so I looked it up. On the first page I saw (Alltrust SIPP - Alltrust Services) there was this

"Given the complexities associated with these types of pension scheme, we normally only deal with clients through their appointed Professional Financial Adviser rather than on a direct basis."

£100k is a lot of money. But to most inhabitants of this forum it's very much at the smaller end of pot size.

I'd recommend if you have some time and interest, do some research yourself (this forum is a great starting point), transfer the whole thing to a different provider (again loads referred to in here) and manage it yourself. Even if it's moving it to a popular cheap platform and putting it in one of their standard funds which you can pick based on a "risk" factor eg. 4/5 you'll instantly save most of that £995.
