Hybrid Fixed/Tracker mortgages
Is there such a thing as a hybrid mortgage, where some of it attracts interest on a fixed basis, and some on a variable/tracker basis?
Could be good for those finding it hard to choose!
A bit like getting 2 mortgages from the same lender on the same property for part of the total.
Obvs it would get complicated with early termination.
Just wondering if anyone has come out with such a product…

Yes, but I dont think many lenders do it.
I think TSB allow it, I know you can split your mortgage into sections and you have to choose a product for each section, I assume there is nothing stopping you selecting different products. I am sure others do but there wont be many.
