Increasing DC Pension Contributions
Comments

The vast majority of the 23K will be in ISA's by the 2nd week of April.
Thanks all for your thoughts. I will be back as more pension thoughts cross my mind in the next 116 weeks!

I do think, after having re-read the recycling rules over and over, that they don't really translate well when talking about DB pensions... For example, the tfls part - most DB pensions have a built-in lump sum which you don't always get a choice in. My CS one will have an automatic ls of 3x pension, so 33.33%. So when (as I'll still be working when it becomes payable) I hike up my current DC contributions to take account of the CS pension income, I'll have to not hike them up by the full pension amount or it could be construed as recycling ☹️
Thankfully I should be able to say no to point 4 of the flowchart...
......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

And I believe point in the flow chart 4 covers me so I shall be going ahead with my plan to increase.
