Helping family onto property ladder
Looking at the schemes where we can deposit cash in a savings account that the lender has a charge over for a period which means the purchaser needs a smaller or no deposit.
The interest they pay seems quite generous and there are no concerns about the money being tied up for a period of time or the fact there will be a legal charge on it.
Can’t find any recent threads so wondered if anyone had any experience of these?

Thanks,
I looked at the old threads that came up but couldn’t find anything recent.
If they’re still selling them nearly 9 years after that link you’ve given there must be people taking them out.

You would have thought so, but apparently those people don't read this forum.
My impression is a vanishly small number of the populace engage with MSE forums.
Certainly there is no one I know in my friends/ family circle who even know about MSE let alone the forums.
