Morning,thanks Gers.
It's dry here, still dark of course.
Yesterday was a quiet day - I took stuff to the cs and bought a nice pink cardigan to wear round the house, it has pockets which is handy. The lady serving me said that everyone was buying jumpers and cardigans yesterday.
We've got a link up planned with our Australian family this morning, it'll be great to see them.
Pleased that you've found a job Ruby.
That's about it for today.
Take care folks.

It’s definitely time to crack out the jumpers - lovely bright autumnal days though.
The main task today is to turn 5-6lb of roasted pumpkin into soup - should be enough to make a few portions 😂. I managed to empty some pots and washed them in the garden yesterday - I’ll refill them with compost to plant some bulbs.
A few craft bits to make layer of there’s chance.Enjoy your Sunday all

Good grief Allie, you'll be all pumpkined out!

Morning again - a pink cardigan sounds fab @ScarletRibbons. What a task ahead of you today @AlwaysAllie, the soup should keep you going for a good few meals.
Last night the sunset was stunning, not often we get these any more. So, this morning is extremely chilly and bright. Sunrise wasn't until 8.00a.m. when it just popped out.
My trip up to the big town was smooth, lovely sea with a low layer of mist over it. I only went to one shop and then visited a friend who lives in the village halfway. Her husband was out so we were able to have a great chat! He's really nice though struggles with not being the centre of conversation. 🤗 The big peeler arrived, only one day after being ordered so I had a go, it seems much easier and quicker than using a knife on cabbage.
I missed watching SCD then realised that I'd also failed to record it. I haven't watched it yet and probably won't. Was it @dp1 who was asking about The Traitors> I record it and only watch the start and end, can't be doing with all the talking and scheming and music. A lot of programmes today have music which racks up the pressure, mystery and doom. It's no wonder I'm moving onto cosy stuff or listening with the TV muted and on subtitles.
There's more of the chunky coleslaw to use up today, I'll have it with some chicken tenders. Am really enjoying having crunchy food from the air fryer, I'll get round to other stuff once the joy has worn off.
It was so lovely to read of @Suffolksue's trip to the Tapestry (embroidery), it seems a huge success despite the long trip. Well done for going.
I hope that everyone can keep warm today, next week is forecasted to be much more chilly again. And take care all. Hugs to poorlies and sads. xx

morning everyone thanks for the start Gers bright but chilly today enjoy your soup Allie I made 10 tubs to freeze yesterday I take a tub out everyday and it does me and the hubby for lunch I don’t have to think what we are having now for the next two weeks. I’ve cooked my joint of pork I’m sure I have enough small joints to last until Xmas there’s was some good offers on at the local butcher’s I took advantage of . Not a lot happening today we have a half price sale on at the charity shop and I got my DIL a brand new pair of pavers boots for £3 she is coming up for them today and hubby some thermal long sleeved tops still with the tags on a pound each I do like a bargain. I love strictly Gers but I’m not so sure this year I’m losing intrest in it I like Emma but the others don’t fit for me and far to much chat . There is a new Robson Green starting on Friday through the day about 2 I think I will record it The Northumberland Mysteries it might be worth a watch it was filmed in Northumberland and county Durham I will see how many places I recognise it might be like Vera driving over Holy island Causway turning a corner and in central Newcastle 😂 thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but very cold and windy, I have the bedding in the wm so will hang it out once done.
I have woken in the small hours the last two nights with a bad pain in my tummy on the left hand side between my ribs and hip it’s very painful enough to wake me and need painkillers, I will have to phone the GP if it continues, so I feel a bit jaded today.
I roasted some tomatoes onions peppers and garlic yesterday so I will turn it into soup to have for dinner with a cheese and ham toastie nice and warming in this cold weather. I will do mum some too.
Dogs to be walked later and I need to hoover and mop downstairs.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all from sunny cold Mehefinland.
@Suffolksue My late father saw the tapestry in 1944 in Caen. He said it was laid out on a load of folding chairs and rather dingy looking although to be fair it was probably not very well lit.Think there were other things going on…..
Pumpkins… we have got 5 yes 5 delivery trays like that you get with Mr T brimming with the darn things. 4 of b/nut squish and 1 of crown Prince. Think I may turn orange by the spring! Had to store them in the greenhouse as the house is full to the gunnels with various auction purchases which have to found homes 😯 Think Gwen has bought out the stock of a shop with Worcester Evesham stuff!!
Nags ok, chucks are settling but still not laying- they are juveniles though and it's coming into quiet season. I'd just like one though please girls.
Went to the cafe concert at Atlantic College on Friday - a whole new lot of students of course and quite a different skillset from the previous year's cohort. Will be interesting to see how it progresses.
Better tidy up some more of the garden whilst the sun is out, so hugs and spoons as always

Morning all
Put some bedding on the line earlier and brrrrr it's cold out there. Rain threatening later so keeping an eye out in case I have to bring it in.
Hope you get to speak to a GP @RedRuby1231 and you find out what's wrong
Shepherds pie for dinner and fingers, eyes and legs crossed for a footie match later.
Have a good day all x

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
Today's weather forecast is more or less the same as yesterday - bright, sunny, a gentle breeze and chilly - but turning cooler and wetter for the week ahead. All those jumpers I've knitted over the last couple of years will be earning their keep this winter!
All yesterday's tasks went to plan with the batch of air fryer Yorkshire Parkin turning out to be just as good as when baked in a normal oven so that's another function successfully tried and tested. 🙂 Not much happening today so it will be a very lazy Sunday with dinner being turkey burgers, mash, green beans and lots of gravy.
I don't normally watch TV during the day (too many repeats) but could be tempted to give the new Northumbria Mysteries a viewing this week. I find Robson Green programmes are generally worth watching. I'd much rather have a decent drama instead of all the reality stuff that seems to be popular these days, especially the so-called celebrity versions. Who are these celebrities? I've generally no idea. 😁
I hope everyone has a good Sunday whether you're just chilling out, soup making, putting the garden to bed or whatever. Healing thoughts for anyone not feeling 100% or struggling to get a decent night's sleep. Take care, stay safe. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
I’ve never heard of most of these ‘ celebrities’ either
Just about recovered from Friday was very grateful for my GP’s insistence on giving me some slow release morphine tablets just in case
But it really was worth it !
Remembered the last time I went to the British Museum was in 1972 when DH and I queued for 3 hrs to see the Tutankhamen exhibition. No timed tickets then .
I thought long about it and bought the book (£30)! Will tell DS that if he puts that in his skip i will come back and haunt him !
I imagine they did have other things on their minds Mehefin !Back to reality now it’s cold and raining More death cleaning in order and reading my lovely book
Stay safe all
