Sunsave energy Plus
Stuck on heating oil, no gas and want a simple option. I realize they may not be cheapest but least hassle hands off would be ideal.
I just need to know if anyone used them and found them to be ok, stuck to their quote etc. we have not got any quote yet
I have family in Scotland who gave up the 10k scheme there after experiencing bad installers

If you're stack on oil - why do you ask about solar? Whats the plan here?

You're talking about these people?
It's a 20-year commitment which is a long time to spend paying off a relatively small loan. And £12pm of your payments is for "monitoring and maintenance" which is of doubtful value, IMHO (tho' a better deal than some of the scams we've seen).

If you own your own home and have a mortgage, almost any lender would be delighted to offer a 'further advance' to provide the cash needed to install your own solar panels (and won't charge you anything for monitoring etc). If not then any 'personal loan' from e.g. a bank could probably be arranged. Either route would need careful consideration of the 'payback period' which would inevitably be longer than if you have savings that would cover the cost without a loan.

Plan is to have options when oil is expensive.
Both the service fee and loan are optional. Its possible to just pay it off and not engage with either. The advantage is the insurance coverage for a working system on all points for 20 years.
Valid points but the main concern is a working system without any attention needed. Its government backed but maybe so new if no one has used them

Oil is expensive right now.
The most logical option is a heat pump and Solar + Battery to further lower the cost of power.
Heat Pump: Without knowing the heat loss of your property, it's impossible to estimate what your SCOP would be. I'd start with the Heat Geek website to see what they think.
Solar: Without upfront capital, a few do exist. eg. Nationwide offers a 0% Green loan to its mortgage customers for Solar and Heat Pumps. Or a 0% interest credit card for ~2 years should allow the savings from Solar to accrue long before interest is due.- 10 x 400w LG Bifacial + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial + 2 x 570W SHARP Bifacial + 5kW SolarEdge Inverter + SolarEdge Optimizers. My neighbours had solar panels installed by Sunsave about 2 years ago. They were very happy with them.

Sure, but my point was that they provide solar+ battery but not the heating devices. Trying to heat with electric radiator is really expensive.
For example on a day like today here in the south - solar 5kW set would have generated 1.5kWh - which is enough for 1h of heating with electric radiator.

Yes I accept nobody installs Solar for the December or similar short hours. It might be the quote shows its not worth doing at all. The battery discharging would also be some help via cheap overnight rate.
The house is built within the last few years, well insulated and the house is not occupied during the day.
Thats good to hear, my main concern is it operates as stated even if thats not going to heat an entire house in winter for 'free'

I would be interested to see what they quote you and for what.20 years at £69 is 16560, that is probably 30% above the cost of quality components and 50% of middle tier range.

Yes, but they're mentioned it as supprt for oil heating - they can get nunerous cheap night tatrifs and heat then - no need to store it.
And summer when solar is great - no need for heating.
