Morning again, it's not a bad one here, dry anyway.
I've got some washing to do, doubt if it'll dry outside though, the trusty dehumidifier will help it along though.
Nothing else going on here, sorry to be so boring!
Hope the poorly people are feeling better and everyone has a good day.
Take care folks.

Thanks for the start Scarlett, hope you get your washing dry.
I'm up early for me as the chap is due to come finish our bathroom texted yesterday to ask if he could come today instead of tomorrow. He says he will be here at 8.15. I have rolls and kettle at the ready
It's supposed to hit 21 to 22 today so we are going fishing again. I'm going to put a stew in the sc for when we get back.
Hope all the poorlies feel better soon hugs to all who want them.

Thanks for the start Scarlet, the washing wouldn't dry here either, it's raining!
Hope you get the bathroom finished today NRA.
Picked friend's son up from hospital yesterday about 4pm so not too bad but felt I was hanging about all day waiting for a call. Collected an order from Argos on the way for the little one's Christmas present, one less to worry about!
Coal delivery today, I've opened the gate and taken the pin out from the bunker as he just throws it across the garden. If I don't open the gate he leaves it open and the wind bangs it, one day it'll break.
Thankfully the high winds of yesterday have abated, the rose arch in the garden has fallen, will try to sort it out today if the rain stops. Also need to check the traps for the furry visitors in the garden - they are never ending!
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Good morning, thanks Scarlet for starting us.
It's dry outside if a little dull, forecast says no rain. Yesterday was a lovely autumnal day, DH suggested we had a drive out. We took big dog with us and had a lovely walk around a beauty spot.
Today back to normality, usual chores to do, may get around to sorting out the tin cupboard. I'm trying to get a stock of food as we are told to.
Chicken wrapped in bacon tonight, with new potatoes and veg.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
A busy-ish day for me today. Will take DDad to the town this morning for his paper and will get my eyebrows threaded. I have an IV this afternoon - still have the lurgy so hoping I get through it okay. We have tickets for the theatre tonight close to home.
I took DDad out for breakfast then did all the ironing yesterday - took me about 1.5 hours but luckily I had some wallpaper TV to catch up on. DDad read his paper and dozed.
We have grand furbaby dog here for 10 days as DDIL has gone abroad to see her dad and DS1 is working away. It’s proving fun with the kitten, having to box and cox the downstairs rooms 😱Have a good day all

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
Good luck with your bathroom @newroadahead, and hope you catch a fish or two. Haven't had proper pea and ham soup for yonks @IzzyBee, sounds tasty. It's been over windy here too @camelot1001 though all is quiet now. @remmie - I was just thinking back on Tuesday about how we used to go out for drives when I was younger. Nowhere particular, just a drive out, probably because life was quieter. Sorry that you still have the lurgy @Coxy11, I hope that the IV helps.
I wish everyone a good day, quiet or busy, ill or well - take care xx

Morning everyone
It's dull and gloomy here with drizzly rain, forecast to be like this all day.
Dad was shattered yesterday and slept most of the day so I took mam out for a nice walk through the village where the care home is and along the prom - we got back just in time for afternoon tea and cake. When I got home I went over to my friends' house for another cuppa.
I'm going into work a bit earlier today, as we are very short of staff, I have the new mud kitchen to finish varnishing.
Snoozer it must be a very worrying time for you and Steve
I'm looking forward to Celebrity Traitors tonight, is anyone else watching it?
I hope everyone has a good day x

Dull and overcast here but no rain due I have taken a chance and hung the washing out but will keep an eye on it.
I’ve still not heard anything about the job with the lady who didn’t want to pay what I asked 🙄 but I’ve been in touch with someone else who wants help with her brother who has had a stroke and needs some help, I’m going to see them tomorrow so 🤞🏻🤞🏻 she has asked me if I would be willing to walk his dog while I’m there 😀 it sounds ideal for me and very local too.
Dinner tonight will be pork belly strips and rice and peas, I shall attempt to cook the pork in the air fryer and add the sauce after, I cooked chips in it the other day which were lovely but I think I may have put too many in as not all of them were crispy it’s going to be trial and error for a while but it’s certainly saving having the oven on.
Yesterday I cooked an Asian style broth I can’t remember the name of it, but it was rice noodles with stir fry veg, bean shoots and water chestnuts and shredded chicken with a soft boiled egg covered in a broth - it was delicious and we will have it again I’m sure.
Dogs to be walked today and a bit of tidying and hopefully a rest this afternoon.
Coxy I hope the IV helps xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all (just), thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
The weather forecast for today said it would be a bright start with sunny intervals (didn't happen), becoming cloudier (yes, it is) and rain increasingly likely this afternoon (quite possible). I haven't been outside yet so have no idea of the temperature although it should be in the mid-teens.
This morning the garden waste collection has been and gone and I think that may be the last one for the year. The council grass cutters came around yesterday, again it could be the last one of the year. The end of BST is in just over a week's time. All signs of the year winding down. 😕 Can you tell, I'm not a fan of winter!
All the usual tasks have been done this morning and this afternoon I'm going to test which of my cake tins, baking trays, pyrex dishes etc will fit in the air fryer. Those that do can go back in the cupboard (after I've cleaned it); those that don't can go in a storage box in the spare bedroom until I decide whether or not to keep them. I may get some replacements but there's no hurry. On Thursdays I try to use up any fridge leftovers for meals and today is no exception. For breakfast I've had toast topped with mushrooms and the last bit of blue cheese, lunch is tuna mayo sandwiches followed by fruit and tea will be a bacon chop from the freezer with a baked potato and leftover beans. This evening I'll have one eye on the TV (sorry @dp1, no Celebrity Traitors for me) and the other on some knitting. All in all, not a very exciting day but I'm OK with that. 😁
Best wishes to all, especially the poorly ones and those caring for them. Take care all. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8
