The prize:
The winner and guest will stay for two nights, B&B, in a Manor Deluxe Room at Dumbleton Hall in Worcestershire, just beyond the Cotswold scarp. This grand 1830 mansion reopened in April after a two-year restoration and pays homage to its history with belle époque flourishes and a palette of rich, deep colours. There are 34 bedrooms and suites.
Downstairs, the Library Bar takes its cue from the painter Frederic Leighton’s Arab Hall. A copy of his painting Flaming June hangs in the Cedar 1905 restaurant, where the focus is on clear flavours and the best seasonal ingredients.
The prize includes one three-course dinner for two (excluding drinks) at Cedar 1905. It must be taken by the end of February 2027, subject to availability and excluding December 25 to January 1.
