West brom mortgage application

Hello, is anyone currently have a mortgage application ongoing with West brom, it's been 5 weeks and still no offer! Our broker has said it's with the senior underwriter for final sign off but I just do not understand why it is taking so long, valuation was done straight way and passed no issues, and the only additional documents which was requested was my husband work contract due to the P60 not outlining his full annual income as he only started in November 2025 in his new job. Just a nervous wreck as we were previously declined through Leeds so I'm not sure if it with a senior underwriter for final sign off is a good sign or I have just been waiting for 5 weeks to hear another decline and will have to give up the house. Just basically wondering how long if you have or had an application with west brom, how long it took, just think 5 weeks is a very long time
