Morning again, now armed with a big cup of strong coffee to help me face the day!
It's raining here, doesn't seem cold though.
Our hairdresser messaged yesterday to say she could do our hair straightaway if we were free. We had an appt for this morning, but she had a cancellation yesterday. She even came to pick us up, then dropped us back home, so good of her.
Didn't get the dreaded curtains done though.
Not much on today, except the Tuesday night quiz.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, what a good hairdresser you have.
The weather is to be good today so I've washed a couple of the living room throws and hung them out, looking forward to a bit of sunshine.
I cleaned the bathrooms yesterday when I got home, remembered I hadn't done them over the weekend!
Hoping everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It feels mild here too but sadly it's downhill from tomorrow they say. It's not raining but drizzle is forecast.
This blooming tickly cough is a strange one. I was woken up at 3 a.m with it. It went on and on so I went downstairs for some cough medicine and 2 paracetamol. Amazingly I got back to sleep and there's no sign of it this morning .No doubt it will be like Arnie and return!
I have my flu jab late morning and then, all being well, I am meeting DF for lunch afterwards. It's always nice to have a good old natter. DD has her review at the Breast Clinic this afternoon and I am feeling a bit jittery about that. Her DP is going with her.
I made my pan of Leek and Potato soup yesterday as I promised myself. Half is in the fridge for this week's lunches (or suppers if out for lunch) The rest is in a tub in the freezer for another week.
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Looking calm and bright out there.
Still feeling sorry for myself. Feel worse today than yesterday and the irritating cough is still there. At least it didn't wake me up through the night though, like yourself @TravellingAbuela
Had a good old catch up with a friend on the phone yesterday which was nice.
Today I will see if I feel better and brighter after getting washed and dressed. If so, I've a pile of ironing to do and some bedding to put on the line so will go with the flow.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons, great customer service. My hairdresser sent me a text yesterday to reschedule my Friday appointment as her husband's father has died and his funeral is on Friday. Now it's rearranged for two weeks time, I'll be a shaggy dog by then though it'll be interesting to see how the colour looks.
My fingers are crossed for a good result for your DD @TravellingAbuela, hope that you can relax enough to enjoy your lunch.
The good news is that filming in the immediate area at the big house is finished. The base crew site is still in use as the action is moving to other sites nearby. That means that the track past my house is no longer being battered by huge numbers of vehicles. I found out yesterday that the crew got so tangled up on the single tracks that they had to put a one-way system in place. I did wonder why they weren't all going the other way round, my house is on one corner of what is essentially a large square. At least they've gone before I got more than a little annoyed. Coming to live here was for the peace, quiet and lack of a racing track outside my windows. 😀
This morning I'm heading down the coast to Tarbert. The audiology technician is squeezing me in before his clinic to sort out my dodgy hearing aid. Then I have a meeting in the afternoon about volunteering, I hope to work with older people to teach them some basic digital skills. Lunch will be chicken again. I'm holding out on the soup front even though it's very tempting.
I hope that all are well and warm, or at least warm. Aches, pains and sniffles are so much worse in the cold. Hugs to all.

Good morning
Cloudy but mild outside, temperatures set to drop tomorrow.
I forgot to come on here yesterday, how I don't know. But you won't be surprised that nothing memorable happened. Today will be the same, only usual chores planned.
Bbq chicken with salad and wedges tonight. Last night I had liver and onions which I really enjoyed, don't know why I don't have it more often. Dh had something from the freezer.
TA, hope all goes well for your DD, fingers crossed.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Must be the week for hair appointments as mine is on Thursday.
I have DDad today and plan a day trip to yet another antiques centre plus lunch out. Will make a cottage pie for tea.
DH will get on with our bedroom whilst we are out. He needs to lift the floorboards to insulate underneath before screwing them down firmly.
All good wishes to your DD for her appointment today @TravellingAbuela and enjoy your lunch out xHave a good day all

Morning all
I slept so well last night that I overslept this morning which is unheard of for me, I still have time for tea and toast though so all good.
I have one person coming today as the other is on holiday, so she wants to do a local dog walk and then make some soup to eat for lunch and watch a film so a nice easy day.
I was supposed to meet the elderly lady yesterday re work, her daughter messaged me to conform an hour before and then 1/2 hr before she messaged again to say mum is refusing to see you, she had dug her heels in and flatly refused! So I said there is no point pushing it and to be in touch if she changes her mind, I have another lady to see tomorrow so hopefully that will work out 🤞🏻
Dinner tonight will be carbonara with the left over gammon, I will slice what’s left and freeze it for sandwiches.
TA I hope everything goes ok for your dd today xx
Have good days all and take care xx

morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet.its damp and mild here i think we have more rain to come . What a good hairdresser you have scarlet . TA enjoy your lunch fingers crossed for your DD today. Gers I wish you would come here and learn me some digital skills you would need to bring a big hammer it just doesn’t sink in I’m alright if everything is going easy and smoothly but if anything goes wrong I’m stuck totally out of my depth trying to find what I’ve done wrong. I had some bad news yesterday the lady who I go to on a Tuesday who is in hospital with a chest infection is coming home to end of life care she has just celebrated her 90th birthday and I don’t know if she will get home she lives in a huge house she has no family so I don’t know how they are going to work that out she wants me to go every week when she gets home somehow I can’t see that happening but I’ve said I will it’s sad I’ve cleaned for her for over 15 years and she was so fit up until a few of weeks ago I started to see a big change in her . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning everyone
I heard my heating click on in the early hours so it must have been chilly. Today's forecast is dull and dreary but the wind has gone.
Mam phoned me last night to ask how she was going to walk from her house to dads house when it's dark and icy in the winter…I started the whole 'you don't live at home anymore' then remembered she thinks she goes outside to get from one room to the other so just told her the staff will sort it , which she was quite happy with…we ended up having a nice chat.
Gers I changed my hair appointment from las Saturday to next, so I'm looking a mess, when the wind blows it sticks up 'like a peacocks feather' little one said.
I've ironing to do this morning before I go to work and a couple of laptop jobs. I'm looking for new sofas and have some saved in my Argos basket but I don't want them to be delivered until after the Salvation Army takes mine away which isn't till the 19th.
TA I hope your DDs appointment is ok.
Oh I took Martin's advice this morning snd changed my Eon tariff to one he recommends.
Hope everyone has a good day x
