I'm looking for some poles to put up a clothes line in the garden - but can't seem to find many.
Index did silver metal ones, but I'm really looking for black metal ones.
Anyone got any suggestions??

Long time since I needed one - sure it was B&Q but dunno if they still do them (mostly rotaries these days). Alternative is the Index one and a can of Hammerite.0

you could always make your own out of concrete and a wooden mould then just concrete into the ground and paint if you wantThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -

I don't know the layout of your garden so my suggestion might not be useful.
Are you planning to put two poles in your garden with a washing line permanently attached?
Why not fix a rectractable washing line to your house, then you'll only need one pole..........to clip the washing line onto.........every time you pull it out/need to use it.
The advantages are:
1 Your garden space is not blighted by a permanent washing line getting in your way.
2 The washing line is rectracted after use.........so it keeps clean and won't mark your clean laundry.
3 You won't have to fix two poles..........only one pole will be needed to clip the washing line onto it.
We've got the retractable washing line type.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -
