Keep current house but buy 2 more? Possible..

If you can state how much the house cost originally and what part of the deposit each brother provided, then it is possible to work out how much equity each brother has in the current property, if we can assume that the original costs of the purchase (stamp duty, solicitors etc.) were split equally and the mortgage has been paid in equal shares since then..

This can't be decided on "I would say" it needs to be decided on fact.
Also, simply having put in variable deposits does not mean that the equity in the property is necessarily split unequally. Even if the split is unuequal, were the deposit treated as fixed sums of inequality or percentage of inequality? One would like to think that the Conveyancing Solicitor at the outset would have advised appropriately for this to all be properly set out, thus avoiding the query on the same now.

Not sure if I've understood this statement either…
Are you saying the house is currently being rented so none of them are living there?
That has implications for CGT liability for any of the brothers not actually living there…

Two live at the property whilst one still contributing to the mortgage but renting.

If the house is sold, the one who is renting may have a CGT liability on his share of the equity, depending on how long he was living there and how long ago he moved out.

Despite MWT's herculean efforts the best answer to this would simply be to say go and lay out all the details in front of a decent broker. Far too much information is needed to be able to provide anything useful in this format.
