Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope your air fryer turned up!
Bedding in the WM, another load I did last night is on the line as it's due to be a nice day. After yesterday's epic rain in the morning it turned into a warm and sunny afternoon. I called at the allotment on my way home and picked 3 decent sized pumpkins - I'll make soup with one for next week, one has gone to a neighbour and DD can use the other.
I had a lovely relaxing weekend away with DS2 and his DGF, we walked, chatted and ate and the weather was glorious, 25 degrees and very sunny. I didn't realise how much I needed it until I was on my way home!
DS2 has accepted a new job to start in December and DS1 and partner heard yesterday they have had an offer accepted on a house, all very exciting.
Hoping everyone is well, take care. XX

Thanks Gers and Camelot
Yesterday seemed busy getting ready for, and having visitors. Then dealing with phone calls and medical admin.
Will walk Bdog this morning then drop of DM and F at hospital for a blood test as she needs another blood transfusion. Quick pop to the fabric shop for one small piece - honest!
Hope everyone else has a good day. Best wishes to all.

Morning all
It’s very Autumnal this morning but I can see the sun so it looks like it might get better.
I’m off to mums for a short while today, I didn’t get everything done yesterday so a couple of bits to do, she also needs bread and milk so I will go and get that.
There is some crustless quiche left over and some salads but I might save that for lunches and make a fish pie we have not had one for ages and I really fancy one.
Shopping being delivered later and I managed to book a Christmas delivery slot from Waitrose this morning so I will add to that as I go along.
Camelot lots of exciting things happening for you all 😀
Have good days all and take care xx

Yes, Dumpling always comes to mind at various parts of the month and year.
And yes, the blooming air fryer turned up. The 'new' story is that Parcel Force don't come so far 'across' (i.e. west) - parts of Cornwall and a lot of Wales are much further west than here. Anyway, it's unboxed, packaging all at the tip, and it's looking fine on the counter top. I tried a whole chicken in it last night, not sure I did it right but it's cooked and moist still, if a bit anaemic looking. I need to strip the carcass later today.
The plan for today has already been kyboshed. Lionel's niece has injured her back, probably the long drive to Glasgow, and she's in too much pain to spend another four plus hours in a car. The ashes have been returned to the spare bedroom, there's no hurry to scatter them. Now my day is my own again. It's the monthly spreadsheets which will get my attention. The day may well be on the fine side.
Hugs to those dealing with assorted poorly people, animals or themselves.xx

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another lovely day ahead, we really are getting spoiled aren't we. Long may they last.
DD and I had a really lovely day out yesterday. We were on the bus to Hebden Bridge when the heaven's opened but by the time we got there the sun was shining and it felt really warm. We did a bit of browsing, and spending, as there are so many lovely new shops that have opened since I was last there. Before lunch we sat for a while enjoying a wine or two outside a little bar on the square, people watching while listening to a really good busker playing his guitar and singing.. It felt like a summers' day in the warm sunshine. We then headed for a late lunch in a lovely little Italian restaurant we had spotted earlier. We finally got home at 8.30, 11 hours after we left! It had been a long day and I was shattered!
Today, being Thursday, it's kitchen and bathroom clean morning, that's when I can get myself moving. The intention was to make the second attack on the cutting back this afternoon but that's not sounding a good idea now so will probably get postponed.
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe x

Morning everyone
I immediately thought of Dumpling with Gers' pinch punch , I wonder how her family is getting on.
I had a nice afternoon with both children yesterday, little one enjoyed her swimming lesson. My cupboards, fridge and freezers are all full again, I should just need fruit, bread and milk for the rest of the month. Three of my items from Tesco were short dated so I rang for a refund - a very nice man not only refunded the items but also my delivery fee and added a £5 voucher!
I need to hoover through and mop the kitchen floor this morning before work and have washing to put outside.
I hope everyone has a good day x

Afternoon all, thanks for the start @Gers. Glad your air fryer finally turned up, just a case now of getting used to using it.
@camelot1001 - How nice to have a relaxing weekend with news of exciting developments for your DS2 and DS1/partner.
@AlwaysAllie - Are you absolutely sure you can buy just one piece of fabric? 🤔
@TravellingAbuela - I'm not surprised you were shattered when you got home! Glad you had an enjoyable day though.
@dp1 - That was a very nice Tesco man indeed who dealt with your refund! 👍️
Weather summary - overnight rain, sunny morning, showers this afternoon, light breeze and top temperatures of 16 deg. It's hard to believe October is upon us again, just over three weeks to go until the clocks go back.
I caught up on my sleep last night and this morning have done all the day to day stuff; this afternoon I'll tackle the hall, stairs and landing. Appetite still isn't great so I think tonight's tea will probably be soup and a sandwich for me and I'm sure there's a h/m ready meal in the freezer for DS. October's budget spreadsheets are all set up but I still need to finalise September's accounts, a job for tomorrow along with the normal Friday admin.
Have the best day you can, take care all. xx
