Morning GERS and all to follow. I hope your air fryer makes an appearance today. It's looking a bit drab out there and not much in the way of sun forecast. But it remains mild so an added bonus.
Stand back in amazement but yesterday afternoon I finally made a start on the cutting back. First to go was the fuchsia that was in danger of taking over the patio. This was supposedly killed off when I had a bit of a makeover of the back done, but it's resurrected itself over time and now gone rampant once more. It's been cut back to the stump. After a sit down in the warm sunshine to rest my aching legs the next victim was one of the big clumps of blooming Japanese anemone which spread like wildfire .Two more big clumps are next in line but that's for another day. Then a good sweep up all round will be needed.
No lunch with DF today as her DH has reacted very badly to a change in medication. She is at her wit's end and is getting no help from the consultant who prescribed the new med. Obviously there is no chance of speaking to the consultant but his secretary has been the go-between. and yesterday's advice was to keep taking the tablets and see if he improves! And a telephone appointment in 3 weeks! He's always been difficult but this is making him a lot worse.
So no plans for the day ahead but there are always indoor jobs waiting in the wings. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) as always for all in need.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Beautiful sunset last night as I walked to the Parish Council AGM. Have not attended before and discovered they serve wine and nibbles!! Interesting talks from a local farmer and the CAB. Have offered to be a speed monitor on our lane due to the number of accidents there are - one just last week which took out a neighbours front wall!
Am taking DDad to Whitstable today as it’s meant to be nice. Currently looks a bit drab so hoping it brightens up.
Sorry to hear of DF’s DH and the medication @TravellingAbuela thats really awful for them both x
All this talk of gardening reminds me that ours needs attention. Bit difficult when I’ve got DDad a fair bit. Greenhouse is now fully glazed though so that’s progress, plus we did it ourselves and saved the cost there 💰
Have a good day all

Good morning
Dull and drizzling here, but forecast to be mainly cloudy today. Never mind, I've got a few jobs to do indoors. I need to tidy the fridge and freezer after Sunday's shop. I was lucky to get 5 packs of smoked salmon on ys, pushed into the freezer on my return. Also got various flavours of cream cheese Philly on offer to try.
Tonight will be chicken thighs which I'll debone, stuff and wrap in bacon, served with dauphanoise potatoes and green beans. I always find it easier to cook in the autumn and winter, when the endless salads have finished.
Coxy, we have a speed watch in our village, they are going to have plenty to do as the main road has ongoing road works for the next 2 years and the village turns into a rat run to avoid them.
I think that's all for now, TA, sorry to hear of DF and hubby's ongoing troubles.
Have a good day all, take care.

Hi all
I’m still here and hobbling a bit. Managed to drive for half an hour or so yesterday and take DM to a garden centre for coffee so was nice to have a change of scenery. Walking is fine as long as the ground is relatively smooth, the slightest stone or tree root that rolls my foot is quite painful.
Getting quite a lot of craft stuff done and realised my first fair is in 3 weeks so need to get a bit organised.
Take care all

Morning all
It’s a bit dull and overcast here this morning but no rain due, I have two people coming today and they have requested a walk around a local park and then along the seafront then lunch in a cafe and a look around the shops so should be a nice day.
I didn’t go to mums yesterday as I couldn’t keep off of the loo so will go tomorrow instead I didn’t want her getting whatever I had, I do feel better this morning though.
Something quick for dinner maybe fish fingers and chips and beans.
Our new shower is so much better than the last one it’s amazing the difference it makes, I have ordered a different head though as the one that came with it is a bit flimsy but will do as a backup.
Dd is on training today and then doing a late shift at work so a long day for her.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
Just a quickie as I'm going to go down to the care home a bit earlier so I have time to take mam along to the shop to buy a birthday card.
I had a phone call yesterday morning to say dad was on his way to hospital again with a problem with his catheter, one of the carers had gone into his room and caught mam trying to 'adjust' it. He was only there a few hours this time and back in time for tea, so that was good but 60 miles each way on a very slow road is a lot for him.
I went over to my friends yesterday after work for a cuppa and a chat which was nice.
Better get dressed, hope everyone has a good day x

Morning again - I have been lazing in bed, not asleep, browsing and reading. I slept so well last night as I was extremely tired, my eyes were closing when trying to catch up on celebrity pottering. My sleep score came out as 'very high', big change from the other week.
The journey home was most pleasant. The day was bright and dry and the driver put on some music which was appreciated by many of the passengers who were near the front. I was home by 12.15 and had some food by 1.30.
Today I have a meeting about volunteering this afternoon and am living in anticipation for the delivery though I'll probably be out when anything comes. The other day I went out during the evening and had a sneaky feel of the fake film props at the end of the drive, not real stone of course but a very close and realistic second. Not sure they'd last the horrors of our winter though I expect that they'll be removed at the end of the shoot.
I hope that all the poorly parents and neighbours are soon as better as possible. There's always something cropping up in our lives to knock us off kilter somewhat. Take care everyone. Hugs all round.

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
@TravellingAbuela - So sorry to hear your DF's husband's new medication is causing problems, I hope it gets sorted out sooner rather than later.
@RedRuby1231 - Wise move not to go to your mum's for now, glad you're feeling a bit better.
We seem to be in what I call yo-yo weather territory - alternate fine and not so fine days. This morning it's chilly and misty with light drizzle but there's a promise of drier weather to come this afternoon.
Yesterday passed well enough; my grocery delivery didn't take long to put away and the pantry looks more respectable now instead of Old Mother Hubbard's bare cupboard. Dare I say it, I have two small boxes of chocolates in there for you-know-when and yes, I can ignore them until then. 😁 I managed to stay awake for the whole of David Olusoga's programme last night although I could feel my eyelids starting to droop towards the end.
Today I have the usual tasks to do as well as another session of laptop housekeeping later this afternoon since it didn't all get done yesterday. Wouldn't you know it, there's a notification of yet another software update that needs doing as well. 🙄 Some time ago I changed the header tape on some (but not all) of my curtains from pinch pleating to eyelet headers (much quicker and easier to hang). I've ordered more eyelet tape for those that didn't get done but delivery isn't for another couple of weeks so curtain changing is on the back burner for now. Tonight's dinner is a corned beef hash to use up half an opened tin in the fridge, maybe some dumplings too.
Have a good day all, usual hugs where needed. Take care, stay well. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
