Tribunal hearing and payment
Hi
I won a case with employment tribunal with my employer. The court decided that company needs to pay me. Now the judgment has been issued to me and employer but no indication of payments from employer. What to do?
thanks.

Well done you for winning!
Have you contacted the employer to establish what way the wind is blowing regarding them meeting their obligations to the court and yourself?

Ask them when they are planning to pay you. They may be planning to appeal, in which case they have around 6 weeks to do so.

Did you have legal representation?
Can they continue to assist you?

i will just wait for a couple of months or so.. see what happens.. once the judgment is out not sure why it would be significantly reversed when me and them were given sufficient time to submit evidences/ witnesses and attend a couple of hearing already.

Why not just contact them and give them our bank details to help them make the payment? That will give you the opportunity to get an idea of if they are planning to pay you

was it an employment tribunal or a small claims (County) court? Did the 'employer' defend the claim or have they gone out of business?
payment directions are normally included in the findings/ judgement but many people have found they are difficult to enforce.https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6599578/limited-company-unpaid-invoice#latest

employment tribunal.. i did ask if the judgment was enforceable but i was suggested to consult a court.. its frustrating.. would be ridiculous to find out that all that hassle for a procedure that does not result in anything.. only thing that may happen is 'name and shame'.. employer never bothered about the tribunal.. what tribunal can do to punish a business that doesn't keep to its commitments.. let's see..

Is it a decent sized company? Can they actually afford to pay?
Once the written judgement has been given, they have to pay.
You can start charging 8% annual interest after 14 days.
You can also then start the fast-track high court bailiffs. It's £71 and you can add it to their debt.0 -
its a decent sized company and should not have any issues in paying but they are delaying and I don't want to cause troubles by involving more court or related units.. hope they pay up soon..
