Advice on debt email received
Hi
I am just after some advice around an email I received today around a debt I apparently have, I believe this is not genuine as I have not had any contact from the 3 companies mentioned but I am just wondering if anyone can confirm this, it lacks a reference and a company address and contact details so to me I think it’s fake.
please see attachments
any advice appreciated
many thanks

Anything real regarding a CCJ will come in the post. I’d suggest moving this thread into the main board rather than the diaries section for more responses :)

As above you would have received letters from the courts about these claims if it was genuine.
Interestingly there is a Jacobs Enforcement but not using the domain referenced in the email and there isn't a website using that domain.
Oh and ask yourself how they would have got your email address if you haven't been in touch with them.
100% scam.

This has been doing the rounds for years, old Adam again lol.
Its a scam, there is so much wrong with that email its hard to know where to start.
First off, anything of a legal nature would come in the form of a letter before action, a standard regulatory form sent under the civil procedure rules, that must be completed and returned within 30 days, it would come from the creditors solicitor, not a bailiff company, and would be in the form of a letter in the post, not in an email.
In the case of Lowell, who are a genuine debt purchasing company, It would be sent by their solicitor, who are called Overdales, and would contain the name of the creditor, the amount claimed, as well as the account number, all of which have been omitted.
This email has been posted on here a few times previously, its an old scam, that simply does not stand up to scrutiny, so we can say with 100% confidence that you should just delete it, ignore and move on, its basically complete and utter rubbish.

Totally fake. I heard someone on a daytime bbc show last week going through this in far more detail than it merited.
If we keep going through the errors in this, the scammer may eventually improve their work.
As a general overview, when it comes to debt, ignore all emails, texts and phone calls. Anything genuine comes through the post.

It appears you are a target for these scammers as this is the second one you have posted about.
