Just watching the sun rise. The full moon has gone.

Not quite light yet, perhaps it's because the sky is grey and misty.
The blooming air fryer didn't arrive yesterday either, I should have ordered from Ama as their deliveries are always prompt.
I'm off later, down to Glasgow on the bus to see Nish Kumar tonight. I booked it yonks ago so am really looking forward to it. Back tomorrow early afternoon.
I hope that everyone has a great Sunday, hugs all round. xx

morning
Thanks Gers, enjoy the show.
I did loads yesterday, walked and mowed the lawn. I think my ankle held up quite well, it’s sore this morning but I think it’ll loosen up. Probably not as much today as the weather is damp.
Have some blackcurrants out of freezer to make some jelly, it’ll be a faff to strain etc but nobody else wanted to do it and they’ve been in the freezer since at least last year. Just some tidying to do other than that.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Enjoy your trip and the show.
I thought we were in for a sunrise earlier to equal the spectacular sunset of the other day but it didn't last long before the greyness took over.
The highlight of today is this morning's shopping trip to Sainsbobs. I have quite a long list today, but most of it is destined for the store cupboard which is looking a bit depleted. Very little for the freezer. I am keeping it tidy (for now!) and keeping the inventory up to date. That's usually the first thing to fall by the wayside!
I thoroughly enjoyed Strictly last night and there are so many excellent dancers this time It would be hard to pick a winner.at this stage. But what was up with Craig last night, he certainly had his miserable head on. He really annoyed me.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Happy holiday to those tipping away. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Dry and bright here again, wm is not on as OH is going to fit the new shower when he gets back from the boot sale, the water will have to be turned off so I will fill a few containers.
Roast lamb for dinner the lamb was bought 1/2 price at Easter and has been in mums freezer, I will do her a dinner too and I made an Apple and plum crumble which we didn’t eat yesterday so that will do for pudding.
I bought some big vacuum bags for the outside cushions so will get them packed away and in the loft today.
Scarlet enjoy your trip xx
Gers have a good evening xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning, Gers and I posted at exactly the same time this morning, but no one else saw mine so I've come here!!
Miserable day, windy with showers (I sound like the weather man).
We're off to the Lakes tomorrow, and it seems the weather is not going to be that good there. It doesn't matter, we used to go away in the caravan in all weathers.
Roast lamb sounds wonderful Ruby, hope you all enjoy it.
TA, I'm still keeping my freezer tidy for now. I gave up on keeping an inventory as well.
Hope everyone has a good day, whatever you're up to.
Take care folks.

Afternoon all.
We're in for a dull day again with light rain possible at any time although I think it may well bypass us. I've just been outside to empty the kitchen bin and also to 'test' the temperature. It doesn't feel too bad so, when I've finished on here, I'll have a walk up to the SA clothing bank with a couple of donations.
The spare bedroom had a good clean yesterday and, whilst it's not used as a bedroom anymore, it is at least tidy. I didn't find much in there to get rid of other than a pile of magazines. I had a quick glance through them last night and have no idea why I was saving them 🙄 so they've gone in the recycling bin.
I've been through everything in the freezer and reorganised it all into the drawers where I want things to be. There is some space slowly appearing but there's still enough in there to keep me going for another couple of weeks. With that in mind, my next grocery shopping list is for fridge and cupboard stuff only, nothing frozen. That's due tomorrow. This afternoon I'm making Soup of the Week (spicy carrot & red lentil) and today's dinner is a chicken breast wrapped in bacon with roasties and green beans. If nothing on TV appeals tonight I have a new book to start on, The Rhineman Exchange by Robert Ludlum, a new-to-me author.
Have a pleasant Sunday all and take care. xx

Hi everyone,
Steve has taken an interest in food inventory. He's been triggered by all the warnings that we might have power cuts and food shortages. We now have a store of water and canned goods etc. I'm resisting his suggestion of buying a generator and a portaloo (that was autocorrected to potato so I'm glad I caught it).

Whoops, posted too soon.
I'm humouring him but I can foresee us having to get rid of things like uht milk when they go out of date as neither of us would use it unless we were forced.
I am trying to plan a pattern to make a hungry caterpillar which can swallow all the things it does in the book. It should be a relatively simple make for Sophia's Christmas present.
Have a good day.
