From accumulation to de-accumulation?

From personal experience, for many people these days 75 is much too young an age to assume you will stop travelling or enjoying meals out etc.
Agreed.
My parents are in their early 80s and are currently on a campsite near Rimini, halfway through a six-week motorcaravanning holiday to Italy.

thank you all.
Just as a way of update, I like the idea of having my interest income paid monthly otherwise it just accumulates and I don’t spend it.
I have managed to book a weekend trip away this year and maybe a week away in the sun later in the year and early next year, I hate winter. I am also going, hopefully on a motorcycle road trip early spring. So all this should help.I have also increased my weekly budget for going out and fun. I don’t manage to spend it all but am trying to.

I find re-framing some spending as investment helps. For example, I cycle a lot for pleasure, exercise and transport so spending £000s on a new bike is an investment. Similarly, I recently bought a fairly expensive espresso machine but it's used daily and hands down beats most over-priced (and over-heated) faux-barista high street stuff. The saving ~ £4/5 a day - is a dividend. Travel has always been and always will be an investment not an expense as IMO it can add so much to what makes a person.
And don't look at your portfolio too often. Really don't. It doesn't help (you or it) and you'll only end up fiddling. As long as you have done the numbers and asset allocation correctly, it'll probably be fine left alone.
