Morning,
Thank you for starting us off this morning, TA.
It has taken me a while to get going this morning, but I have unloaded the DW from last night.
Today, I will be meeting my sister and visiting mum. When I get back home I am going to have a cosy afternoon of reading my book and working on my plans for October.
Tea tonight, roast beef for hubby, and I will have tuna pasta bake.
Take care all.

Morning folks, where is everyone this morning? We look to have had a bit of drizzle o/n and set to last on and off most of the day. A bit of a difference to the previous few days. It still feels mild though so long may that last.
Not much worth mentioning this morning. The usual Friday Tidy is on the agenda and then not much else! The back garden cutting back didn't happen yesterday so that may or may not start this afternoon.
I had exciting news from DF yesterday - she is going to be a great grandma! That has cheered her up as she started the week feeling really down in the dumps with life in general. My DD is a bit annoyed as she had a call yesterday changing her lumpectomy review at the hospital from next Tuesday to the Tuesday after. They had advised her to take her dressings off yesterday, which she did, and was a bit horrified at the number of stitches and size of the wounds. Hopefully they should soon fade.
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all xx

Hello…where is everyone this morning?
It's feeling chilly, I'm going to have to start putting my dressing gown on again. Little lad had a good birthday, he saw his mum and granny in the morning and will see his brother with his foster carer after school. Little one was very excited… both for his birthday and that she has her casts off…it was lovely to see her running down the school field at lunchtime with her friends.
I'll go down to see mam and dad at the care home before work this morning.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all
Bright and sunny here again I have just put the throws from the sofas into wash will hang them out after.
OH has taken the day off today so that we can do his tax return, I say we but it will be mainly me that does it he does generally get me a present for doing it though 😬 so far each year I have got him a good rebate so I like to tell him I’m worth it 😀
Dinner tonight will be salmon fried rice, I have got some baby corn and edamame beans to go in it so should be tasty.
DD is off out for the day and evening so she will eat out.
TA please tell your dd that the scars will fade to almost nothing, you can hardly see mine now, tell her to get some bio-oil to rub in once she had healed enough it really does help xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Thanks for starting us off @TravellingAbuela
It's lovely and warm out there this morning and we are expecting 24 degrees today!
Just back from doing a small bit of shopping as we are away for a few days from Sunday to Venice and tonight I'm going out for a meal with my bestie from work and then we are going to see Jason Manford. I've had these tickets for over a year now as he cancelled and rescheduled twice now so I hope he turns up this time lol
Nothing else planned today so have a good day all x

Morning all
I managed a very slow and hobbly walk this morning - did two short ones yesterday with no ill effects so just done nearly a mile. It makes my ankle hurt but it seems to recover without getting worse so I’m hoping that’s ok. It’s definitely challenging my patience.
Have done lots of sewing though so there has to be a positive - more to do now.
Best wishes to all
AA

Morning, thanks for starting us off @TravellingAbuela, and some lovely news too! Great to hear about your little one @dp1.
Since my chat with a GP yesterday I've been rather discombobulated, too much thinking is definitely bad for one, I need to shake it off. The grass cutter chap is here for his final cut. The grass is rather long as he missed doing it because he was diagnosed with Lyme's disease. He'll come back later with big ladders to prune back the vigorous climbing hydrangea which is threatening to invade my spare room. He's already pumped up the tyre with the slow puncture. I've ordered the new locking wheel nut though it'll take about two weeks to get to the dealer who'll then post it up to me. What a faff!
Today is when the air fryer is due to arrive, fingers crossed. I bought a recipe book from Pinch Nom and I'm looking forward to making some things which crunch. Once the machine is here I'll go out to the dump as I cleaned out the fridge.
Take care all. Hugs all round. xx

Morning @TravellingAbuela, thanks for the start off.
It's looking very dull and miserable out this morning, a real contrast to the last few days. Mr Weatherman is saying rain is likely at any time today and top 'feels like' temperatures won't get any higher than 15 deg although it seems to be just a one day blip. We'll see.
@TravellingAbuela - Congratulations to your DF on her good news but not so good that your DD's appointment has been moved to a later date. I'd second @RedRuby1231 's suggestion of bio-oil - expensive but effective.
@dp1 - Lovely to hear LO is doing well now the casts are off, she seems to take everything in her stride, bless.
Here we are again at the end of the week, it seems to come round so quickly. Usual Friday admin to do and that's about it so I may well be taking a leaf out of @peony40's book and having a cosy afternoon of doing 'not a lot'.😁 My shower decided to spring a leak this morning and I've put in a repair request to the council. Hopefully I'll get an appointment sooner rather than later but, as I still have bathing facilities (bath or strip wash at the basin), it won't be classed as urgent. I can get in the bath OK but getting out isn't quite so easy these days. 🙄 Fish out of the freezer for tonight's tea with fruit & jelly for afters.
@Chrisca50 - Have a lovely time in Venice, hope you enjoy Jason Manford too.
@Gers - Your poor grass cutter man, I guess it's one of the hazards of his job. Fingers crossed your air fryer arrives today.
Have a good day and take care all, hugs wherever they're needed. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
@TravellingAbuela another Bio Oil recommendation here! Also, I was able to have several sessions of reflexology through my local Macmillan centre, which helped with lymphatic drainage on the affected side.

Hi all and thanks for the start @TravellingAbuela x
Lovely to hear of little foster baby's 1st birthday @dp1 x
Annoying about the leaking shower @YorksLass I hope the repair happens soon.
Enjoy the JM show @Chrisca50 We too had (front row) tickets a few years ago, but the show was cancelled. When the new date was announced the venue just allocated tickets on a first come first served basis instead of transferring them across, so we didn't bother rebooking. Apparently the 'stars' cancel if they get offered TV work which pays better!
I'm on a glass fusing workshop this evening, booked very last minute as saw a post of FB. Will see how I get on!
Have a good evening all
