Good morning, thanks Gers.
A cloudy and chilly start, trying not to put the heating on, every year I say not until October.
A better night's sleep, although I still woke up a couple of times, but tried my hardest not to start mithering. Last night watched GBBO on catch up, funnily enough Dh watched it now Nigellas a judge 😀
Today there is Dhs repeat prescription to pick up from the pharmacy, will pop into the supermarket for bread and a couple of other bits. Boneless pork steaks for tea, may do them in a tray bake with mushrooms, onions and tomatoes.
Nothing else happening, so will wish everyone a good day, hugs to all who need them. Take care.

Morning, thanks Gers.
I had a bad night last night, so I'm a .late starter today.
Seems to be a nice fine morning here, we might go out for the day, we'll look at the local forecast first though.
Nothing much happening here, we're just plodding along.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to the poorly ones.
Take care folks.

It's a very chilly and bright start to the day, last night I pulled out the second duvet as I was cold in bed. Then, when I was hotter I slept so well. I'm a bit obsessed with keeping any eye on my 'sleep score' shown on the watch. Seems that going to bed earlier and being warmer is better for sleep. 😅
After my shopping trip yesterday I decided to prune back the rose bush at the front of the house. All the lovely blooms had been battered into less than loveliness by the recent harsh winds and driving rain. There are still some buds looking to pop out so I didn't cut back too hard, I'll do that next week. A new rose bush I planted in the back garden earlier this year gave me one beautiful red flower so I'm hoping for more next year. The very tall Mary Berry rose bush also needs some pruning and taming, it's sprouting new bits, like a strawberry, all round.
This morning I plan to cook some beef mince, perhaps it'll become bolognaise or maybe chilli, probably a mix of both as I add herbs and spices at will. I'm waiting for a call from a GP, I managed to get through to the surgery on the dot of 8.00a.m., yesterday I was 18th in the queue so gave up.
I hope that all are well or getting better and sending gentle hugs to all those still struggling with health of life. xx

Morning folks and thanks GERS. SCARLET I was with you having a bad night. Nowt new there is there! I woke up too warm at 3.15 and that was that, I couldn't get back to sleep again.. I don't know why I was hot as my phone told me it was 5 deg outside and the bedroom windows were steamed up when I pulled the curtains back. It's certainly not hot sweats as I am way beyond them!
I seem to have accumulated a lot of jobs to do today. The bed has been stripped but is yet to re-make It has to be done in stages these days. .The bedding is currently washing merrily away. Then it's kitchen and bathroom clean to follow. I could do with doing a lot of cutting back in the back garden but that might have to be done another day - again in stages.
I got 10/10 from DGD yesterday for the Bolognese Bake! She said she had attempted one herself (and showed me the photo!) and said she ate it but it wasn't as good as mine. I had frozen 4 more tubs of Bolognese so that's ready and waiting for another time.
DD is venturing out today (on the bus) as she agreed to be the "model" for youngest DGD at the college. She is giving her a conditioning treatment followed by a style! Fortunately there are no scissors involved just yet!
Have a good day folks if you can and take care. ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely x

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but chilly, it will almost certainly warm up later it’s been so lovely here this week. I have a towel load in the wm and another to go on after so they should dry well today.
I have shopping being delivered at lunchtime and dogs will need a walk, I also need to give the bathroom a good clean.
Dinner tonight will be gnocchi with a hm tomato sauce and some garlic bread, I will see if we have any GF bread to make OH some too.
I still have the summer duvet on it’s been fine up to now but will have to dig the winter one out soon, I’m finding I sleep much better when it’s cooler but again I think this is down to the hot flushes 🥵
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
It's another bright and chilly start to the day but it should warm up as the day goes on. Night time temperatures are now down into single figures and sunset is at 7 pm. So far, apart from an occasional hour here and there, I haven't had to put the heating on nor has the winter duvet come out - yet. 😁
Last night I watched another of the 7 Up TV series made in 1964, this time talking to people in their 70s who were born in the Victorian era. I was 14 then and swear it was like listening to my grandma speaking. Such a contrast to today's 70-odd year olds. Nothing exciting happening today other than the normal day to day tasks, one of which is using some defrosted chicken mince for burgers for tea. Not much of a dent in the freezer I know, but better than nothing!
Almost time for tea break and DS is hovering to use the laptop so I'll get off and wish everyone a good day. Take care all. xx

Morning everyone
Nice sunny start to the day here. It's little lads' first birthday today, he went to bed in pyjamas with 'when I wake up I'll be one' on the front, very cute photo. DD has to take him to see his mum this morning, then he'll see his baby friends when little one finishes school, I'll pop round with his presents from me and mam and dad after work. It's making me wonder where he'll be on his 2nd birthday.
I have ironing to do before work and the washing is doing it's job with my bedding, it will dry outside today.
Right best get myself moving. Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi all,
Late one from me as took both parents out together today. We visited Ramsgate which was dry and breezy. Sorry to hear of sleep woes. DS2 came home around 2am and as we're sleeping in the dining room as our bedroom is being decorated, I woke up. Managed to get back to sleep thankfully.
Pork chops, savoury rice and broccoli for tea tonight. DH is staying at DS1's so I've the TV remote to myself whoop!!
