morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet just a quick one hubby is loading up the car for the tip then we will fill up the car with petrol I have a 5 pound off 30 for Lidl so I will call and use that to get some shopping and that’s the morning over . Jacket potatoes later nice and easy I think we will have a burger in a bun at lunch time . It’s been raining all night but it is forecast to be dry the rest of the day . I will put a load of washing in tomorrow when I get my free hour of energy and make some soup and shepherd pies for the freezer. I’m struggling a bit today I think it’s the change in the weather I’m all aches and pains I could do with a can of oil in my joints. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning everyone
I did go to Minor Injuries yesterday, triaged and xrayed in half an hour but then had to wait about 90 minutes to see someone - still not too bad. Just a bad sprain and soft tissue damage so have an ankle splint to wear when I feel like it. It’s loads better this morning however I clearly fell awkwardly cos I ache in other parts too, particularly the muscles at the front of my neck so yawning is painful, along with lifting my head off the pillow. Anyway main thing is it’s not broken!
Only did 3000 steps yesterday as a consequence and I’m used to c10-13000 so that takes some getting used to. Bdog will have to cope with a few days of DF taking him a short stroll: I can chuck the ball in the garden for him later too.
Hope everyone else has a good weekend and all the poorlies improve.

Morning all,
Izzy, I ache a lot today as well, it was painful just lying in bed, let alone trying to get myself upright. I must get myself out of bed and moving today.
Allie, I am glad that there are no broken bones, but it sounds painful. Very impressed by the number of steps you usually manage daily.
No real plans today, hubby did mention there is a classic car show nearby so we may wander there this afternoon. It is smaller event in a field, so more manageable for me as I don’t really do large, busy places.
Apart from this, it will be general pottering about.
Easy tea of jacket potatoes and cold meat and salad.
Take care all.

Good morning
Dry and cloudy out, although according to the forecast it should be raining.
Yesterday I went for a mooch around As*a and got the bargain of the year, a pair of jeans reduced to £3. Ok, so their probably not the height of fashion, but ok for dog walking and wearing around the house.
Talking of big dog, we had a fright yesterday. He came up to us with what we thought was blood on his head and down his face. After chasing him around (he didn't want us to look) we discovered it was the juice from the crumble I was making. Panic over. Although how he got it on him was a mystery.
Cooking a gammon joint today, so probably hot gammon rolls tonight.
AA, glad your injury isn't more serious, try to rest.
Redruby, that's appalling treatment from the GP, hope mum is OK.
Hugs to all who need them, take care.

Morning all
It’s been raining overnight but seems to be brightening up now, I have a wash on the go so will try and hang it out if it doesn’t rain again.
I spent a lot of yesterday up at my mums, I am going up to do her breakfast and make sure she has showered etc and is comfortable and then I was back at dinner time warming her up some hm soup, we are hoping to have extra care in place soon but in the meantime my sister and I are trying to cope with it, I put a complaint into the surgery about my experience with the horrible GP.
I’m going to try and have a bit of an easy day I seem to be permanently tired atm I think the stress is not helping either.
It must be the theme of the day as we are also having jacket spuds for dinner, OH will have some left over bolognaise sauce on his and I shall have cheese and ham.
Dd has gone to Thorpe park today with friends so I’m not expecting her back till much later.
AA I hope you start to feel better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning again, it's sunny here.
Glad you didn't break anything Allie, but it all sounds very painful.
I see that Izzy and Peony are achy as well, I'll.join the aches and pains crowd I think. I'm always wincing when I move in the mornings.
I'm debating what to do today, should I go to a nearby shopping centre and look at black trousers, or should I stay at home and perform the usual household tasks and go to the shopping centre during next week. I'm leaning in favour of the shopping centre.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to those with poorly relatives.
Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A soggy night here by the look of it and it felt really chilly when I got up. So much so I popped the heating on for a quick blast whilst I showered etc. I mustn't make it a regular thing just yet.
I don't know what hit me yesterday but as as soon as I woke up (after a bad night) I felt off it. I was fit for nowt all day so did absolutely nothing and the entire day was spent comatose on the sofa under the heated throw. I alternated between sleeping or dozing watching rubbish and missing most of it! . And I even had a good night too after all the sleeping.
Today I feel marginally better but it will be a day for light duties only I think. There is currently a dark wash on the go but it will have to go on the airer with the dehumidifier blasting as this mizzle looks set in for the day. And a quick update on DD. I had gone down Thursday afternoon and she was much more perky than I expected. She wasn't experiencing much pain either but was taking the painkillers as a precaution. I hope it's now onwards and upwards for her. She goes back on the 29th so I will have my fingers crossed until then.
I didn't come on the comp all day so will have a catch up of anything I missed on here. Meanwhile I hope all are ok, thinking of you coping with elderly parents, anyone poorly or the walking wounded (AA) Take care all, be safe xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet. Go to the shopping centre, it's a change of scenery!
Blustery with showers today, I'll keep the washing until tomorrow when the forecast is better. The bedding is just about dry as I had the heating on for an hour last night - it was a bit too late to light the fire, takes ages to heat up.
Went to Sainsbury's with DD and the little one after work yesterday, didn't get much but enjoyed the look around. Saw some nice trousers but they were very wide and all I could think of was how much water they would suck up when it rains!
You've a lot on your plate Ruby, hope you make some decisions and get some help for your DM soon.
Glad your ankle isn't broken Allie and the aches and pains disappear quickly.
My cold is still lingering but I'm trying to ignore it! I'm going to The Tenement House in Glasgow today with a pal, it's 'Doors Open' weekend here so the tickets were free. We'll go on the train as parking in Glasgow is too expensive and the train is stress free.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX

Morning all
Sorry to hear about all the aches and pains out there, it's just time before I join the club! Glad you ankle wasn't broken Allie and {{hugs}} Ruby. Hope everything settles down for you and your mum and hope you get an apology from that awful GP!
Just made a ginger cake which nearly burnt as I was on the phone to sky re an app that wasn't working on my tv but just caught it in time!!
DH is down DS's again doing some tiling this time. His courtesy car should be picked up today so waiting for a call as to what time. Enjoyable footie match on at lunchtime. The team I used to go and see in the '70s at the old Den!
Have a good day all x

Hi everyone,
I've been having a bit of a break from posting but I'll try to get back into it.
We're just back from 8 days in Bristol. Brian was in Cape Town for work so we were Laura's back up. I'm glad we were, not only for the days she was working but the evenings were horrendous. Esther was keeping herself awake because she didn't want to dream but couldn't say what she'd been dreaming about. Esben was also kept awake so there were some late nights.
Apart from that Steve was putting shelving in their loft and I was sorting the playroom. It's not finished but they've rediscovered and been playing with some toys they'd forgotten which is good.
I'm looking forward to seeing Nate and Sophia. She is nearly three months and growing like a weed. He started school a couple of weeks ago and seems to have settled well.
On top of all that we are buying a new car, an electric one which we collect on Tuesday
I hope all the poorly people, parents and children included are doing as well as they can.
Have a good rest of the day and enjoy Strictly those who are into it.
