Hi,

[EDIT…Apologies i just googled the below and AI'd it aswell, and it answers this, the short google searchs i did before writing out this message didnt reveal any good results ENDofEDIT]

I am trying to book the cheapest hotel in Hampshire. I want to sarch the chain that is "welcome break", "days inn", "Ramada" and "Wyndham".

I believe all of those are owned by the same company?

But if you search on the "welcome break" site, then i can see that eg Fleet, M3 Hotel is £5 cheaper than if you look on the "Days Inn" website.

Is there a "best" website for this?

Also, the Wyndham Hotels site has a button for "sort on price", but it doesnt work….do you know any fix?

I just googled this but no joy

  • Have you tried booking dot com, trivago, hotels dot com and searched by price?

The cheapest hotel might not be the most appropriate hotel.

Consider location - you have referenced a hotel in Fleet so assume that is the type of area you need to be near but a search for "cheapest hotel in Hampshire" might provide a result as far away as Lymington which probably would not be convenient for your visit to Fleet.

The specific hotel you have referenced is, I think, at Fleet Services so access is only from the M3 and exit is only to the M3 so you may be having to drive the extra junction to then come back on yourself either to arrive at the hotel or leaving.

Searching for cheapest by using hotel websites won't locate the non-chain hotels / guest houses / B&Bs or such like so you need to use the tools suggested upthread. Even for searches within specific brands, you do not seem to have included the largest "budget" brands in your search list.

It is also worth considering food and beverages - a hotel room that is £7.50 more (but includes breakfast) might be much better value than the cheaper room (without breakfast).

Some hotels like Premier inn are best booked direct.
