Covil service ill health pesnion review
Hello,.can anyone help. I was retire from the Civil Service in June 2021 on medical grounds. There is suppose to a 5 year review process built into it, but ive heard nothing yet. Although I obtained a copy of the review form in late 2021 which for where i live is completed by GP, I am concerned about going through it. Has anyone been through it and can they comment on how it was? What are the reasons the review is late?

could it be the general appalling state of CS pensions at the moment? People aren’t getting paid the pension they are due, so possibly this sort thing is low on capita’s to do list?

While I’d agree with the general sentiment, the 5 year review process the OP is talking about is handled by the Scheme Medical Adviser, Health Management Limited.
So, different outsourcing company, but likely similar problems.
OP, it is entirely the responsibility of the Scheme Medical Adviser to arrange the 5 year review (if one is appropriate), so just wait for HML to get in touch2 -
oh right, I didn’t know that, it was just a thought 👍
