Morning all,
Thank you for starting the thread, Gers. I have been up since 5am, very achey and I seem to have picked up a head cold.
Not much planned for today, I will lend a listening ear to hubby while he does his tax return, and I will continue with the crochet.
Dinner tonight will be a bacon pasta bake, so nice and easy.
Take care all.

Good morning
Bright and sunny, yesterday was a bit chilly, but I still wore a t-shirt (whilst I can).
DH has an early appointment for his yearly blood test, so is getting ready to leave. I'll go with him (not to hold his hand, although from the fuss he makes I should do), but to get some shopping after. No idea what's for tea, will sort that later.
Have a good day all, take care.

Today may be fine, very welcome after the past two days of rain-filled horror. Sorry that you are under the weather @peony40, hope that you feel better soon.
Yesterday I explored the possibility of volunteering to teach digital skills to older people and then I had my first ever eyebrow waxing done. That was interesting, not really painful and tamed my very bushy brows. I didn't expect such a big difference - the woman said that most woman would be really envious of my ample though unruly brows. I'll be back there.
The garlic chicken wasn't very nice, I bought it so won't be buying it again. I ended up having only the salad, a sandwich and then some baked beans (on their own). For today I've taken some tenders out of the freezer which will do me for two days.
This morning I have another docs appointment, the saga of stabilising my condition goes on. One more tweak ahead I think.
Hugs to all - I hope that all the poorly mums, dads and family are mending. Special wee squeezes to @dp1's little one as she has a new challenge to face. xx

Morning folks and thanks GERS for kicking off. It feels a tad chillier this morning and it was the first time since the Spring that my kitchen window started steaming up whilst I boiled my breakfast egg.. A fine and sunny day is forecast and that bloomin' blustery wind of yesterday has dropped. We escaped the heavy rain and thunderstorms they had promised us and we just had a couple of sharp showers which didn't last long. DF and I avoided it thankfully and we enjoyed a nice lunch and a long natter afterwards over our customary couple of vinos.
This morning I have an opticians appointment. It's only 12 months since my last one after the cataract ops but apparently it's recommended. I am hoping I don't need new specs as I spent enough on my current ones last year. I have a narrow bridge and it takes me forever to narrow it down to a good fitting pair.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need. A special gentle one for DP1's DGD. PEONY I hope you soon start feeling a bit better. Take care all, be safe x

Morning, thanks for starting Gers
Teaching digital skills to older people sounds good. I'm sure there would be a good take up for that.
Sorry you're not well Peony, you should take it easy today.
Hope your Dh,'s blood test goes well Remmie.
It's fine here, but it's a bit chilly.
We've been sorting our books out, we both have a lot. Anyway, quite a few are going to the charity shop today and the shelves look much tidier, for now anyway.
Hope your dgd is all right Dp1.
Thoughts to your DD, TA. I had bc 10 years ago - I had a a lumpectomy and some lymph glands removed, followed by 15 sessions of radiotherapy and 5 years of tablets. I hope your Dd will make as good a recovery as I did.
Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.

Morning everyone
Just finishing my breakfast , then I'll go down the hill to visit mam and dad a bit earlier than usual as I have to go to have blood tests this morning.
Thanks for the hugs for little one, she is now wearing two bright pink casts, she plans to change the colour each time she goes! She said that the sandals she has to wear outside are ugly and are green and black so they won't match her clothes! By bedtime she still hadn't had any pain, so hopefully she's been ok during the night.DD was planning to keep her off school today so she can practise walking, it's swimming this afternoon anyway , so just this mornings lessons she'll miss.
Remmie my dad is terrible at having injections or blood tests, he starts fussing as soon as a district nurse comes into the room, and is owing and ouching before she even has the needle out of her bag. Whenever little one has to have something painful done she always says Great Grandad couldn't have this he'd cry.
Right, must get dressed, I hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all
Complete weather turnaround to yesterday, it's sunny and bright instead of pouring with rain.
Lets hope little one continues to cope well with her casts @dp1
Did some housework earlier on as my hairdresser is coming later. She had to cancel last week's appt as she had an emergency with her dog. She text me over the weekend to re-arrange and told me that the poor thing had died. Poor thing :-(
{{hugs}} to all the poorlies and their families
Nothing else planned for today so I'll wish you all a good day x

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
After yesterday's miserable greyness and on/off showers, it's a lovely start to the day - bright blue sky with hardly any breeze at all and it should stay dry. Evenings and early mornings are quite chilly though and I'm thinking it won't be long before the heating goes on for an hour at each end of the day.
Apart from the usual daily tasks, I've nothing urgent to do today but I do have a book to return so will have a walk out with that this afternoon. I'm sure I'll be able to find something to occupy myself for the rest of the day, there's always something to do. Tea tonight is chicken kyivs, peas & sweetcorn, salad potatoes.
@TravellingAbuela - I suspect you may well need new glasses as apparently it takes about 12 months post-cataract surgery for your eyes to settle down properly. If so, perhaps new lenses would fit into your existing frames?
Have a good day everyone, take care. xx

Just back from Opticians and no new specs needed, eyesight remains the same. So that's a goodly amount of money saved! Treat myself to a bag of liquorice cuttings to celebrate! X
