TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “GHR x Greatest Hits Radio Playlist x BT” - Competition” (the “Competition”)

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at:  http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html  (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. Bauer Radio Limited (“Bauer”, “we”, “us”) is the promoter of this Competition

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs

Online entry is free of charge. Entrants are allowed to enter multiple times. 

This is a shared competition and prize, running across the Greatest Hits Radio network of stations. 

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

The Competition entry period will take place from 7th September 2026 at 15:00 until Wednesday 25th November 2026 at 15:00 (the “Competition Period”). We reserve the right to extend the competition entry period at any given point within this contesting period. 

The first on air winner will be broadcast on Tuesday 8th September and winners shall be announced daily Monday – Thursday after this point. 

• Entries will only be eligible if submitted between the Start Time and End Time (as detailed in section 3).
• Entrants must complete all boxes on the entry page. 
• Entrants must create a playlist by choosing 8 songs from the Greatest Hits Radio playlist (which can be found here: Playlist | Recently Played Music | Upcoming Tracks - Greatest Hits Radio). Entrants must also submit a story behind the chosen playlist. Each story must be a minimum of 20 words and a maximum of 250 words.
• By entering the Competition, you agree to have your story read out on air.
• Entrants must submit their full name, contact number and email address. Greatest Hits Radio will not accept responsibility for any information not typed correctly. Contact details will only be used in the event that you are selected as a winner and to organise your prize. 

The Competition Mechanic

There will be one winner per day, Monday -Thursday for the duration of the competition (with Tuesday 8th September 2026 being the first winner / broadcast execution). 

By entering, entrants agree to participate in the programme via voice call, which could either be live or pre-recorded at the producer's discretion. 

Once per week, on a Monday from 10am, a judging stage will take place and up to 4 entries will be selected from all entries received to date. (the “Winning Entries”). (The exception will be the first week of the competition in which the winning entrants will be selected on the Tuesday.)

The entries will be judged by 2 representatives from Greatest Hits Radio as well as by 1 independent judge (the “Judges”). 

Judging criteria will be based on the entrant’s chosen playlist, how well it fits with Greatest Hits Radio, suitability for broadcast, and the story behind the chosen playlist (based on the most relevant, entertaining and interesting stories). 

After each judging stage, and once the 4 Winning Entries are chosen, they (a “Winner”) will be assigned a "Daily Competition Round" and invited to pre-record a segment where they will explain their playlist. The producer reserves the right to air the pre-recorded segment at any point during the Zoe Ball Show between 13:00- 16:00 during the Winner’s designated Daily Competition Round. 

Certain songs from the Winner’s chosen playlist will also be played during the Zoe Ball Show between 13:00- 16:00 on the Winner’s designated Daily Competition Round. The full playlist of 8 songs will not be played. The production team reserve the right to choose the songs at their discretion. The production team also reserves the right to insert an alternate song into the list should they deem it necessary.

If an entry is selected, but we are not able to make contact with the entrant in that instance or alternatively suitable arrangements for broadcast cannot be made, the entry will re-enter the pool and we will select another winner for the Daily Competition Round in question. If an entry is re-submitted to the entry pool, they are back in the competition and have a chance of being re-selected to take part in the activity at a later date.

The same pool of entries will be used throughout the entry period, meaning that an entrant’s chances of winning may decrease throughout the entry period, as entry numbers increase.

During days affected by bank holidays, special programming, schedule changes or other exceptional circumstances, we reserve the right not to run a competition round and/or not to bring a winner for that day. The judging period may also change under these circumstances. 

3. ENTRY PERIOD 

Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:

From Monday 7th September 2026 at 15:00 (the “Start Time”) to Wednesday 25th November 2026 at 15:00 (the “End Time”). 

The first on air winner will be broadcast on Tuesday 8th September 2026 and winners shall then be broadcast daily, Monday – Thursday after this point. 

We reserve the right to extend the competition entry period.

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid. 

Winner Announcement: The Winner’s first name and hometown will be announced on air during the competition feature. 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS 

Only open to UK residents, aged 18 years or over on date of entry. 

Employees (and their family members) of Bauer and any of its group companies, or employees of any company (including BT) involved in the Competition, are not permitted to enter.

We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or Winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

5. THE PRIZE 

*** This is a shared prize across the Greatest Hits Radio Network of radio stations***

There are up to 4 winners per week of the prizes available across the total duration of this competition.

Each winner will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):

1 x smart speaker  <Echo Dot (Newest gen) | Bluetooth smart speaker with Wi-Fi and Alexa>

1 x GHR x BT winning gold plaque (Wall Art comprising gold disc mounted within a frame)

*** Please note – Due to the gold plaque being specially designed and produced for Greatest Hits Radio, there may be delays in production and delivery. Winners will be kept updated on delivery times.

The prize is fulfilled by Bauer and delivery will be provided by Element London.

The Winner’s name, phone number, email and address will be cross checked against the Bauer Winner Database and only once they pass the criteria, they will be deemed a Winner. Proof of identification and address may be requested to be provided to Bauer.

Bauer will aim to send the prizes to the winner within 28 working days from the date they pass winner checks as mentioned above. However, there may be delays and deliveries may take longer. Bauer will make necessary attempts to keep the winner up to date with details of any delays and when the winner can expect the prize. 

The Prize Provider is Bauer Radio Limited. Any personal data submitted by the winner to the Prize Provider will be treated in accordance with Prize Provider’s privacy policy, which is accessible at:  https://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/privacy-policy-20251030

OTHER CONDITIONS

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

1. MISCELLANEOUS. 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call. 
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route. 
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition. 
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
