Morning all. It's bright and sunny here so washing has gone out on the line, although it might rain later.
It was really hot at the Heritage Day event yesterday and we struggled to find a space on the field set aside for car parking. Lots of people around, which was good for all the traders. Didn't get home until 7pm and I was nodding off on the sofa a couple of hours later!
Today DH is out to lunch with friends so I'm going to get the bus to the city centre and have a mooch. I don't really need anything but might treat myself to a coffee.
Hope everyone else is keeping well. Hugs to all.

Thanks for the start @WickedLady4
Morning all
Feels quite warm this morning with blue sky out there.
I've had to re-arrange a dentist check up and hygienist a couple of times and so today I have both appointments one after the other eeeeek! My dentist is in Rochester so I'll get there a bit early as parking can be a bit of a pain so will mooch round the castle and cathedral to kill time before my appointment.
Nothing else planned today so I'll wish you all a good day x

Morning, thanks for starting WL. Enjoy your trip out.
It's fine here at the moment, but yesterday started fine then degenerated into rain.
We were going to go for a walk, but instead got the bus to an indoor shopping centre nearby, strolled about, had a light lunch, and nipped into Sains for a few things. It brightened me up anyway!
It's the reading group today, and while I'm out I'll go to the pharmacy and see if my tablets are ready.
I've been looking at steam generators for ironing - does anyone have any advice/ opinions on them?
Have a good day everyone, take care.

Good morning
It was bright when I got up but has now turned dark and I can see spits and spots on the window. The forecast said dry and sunny all day.
I've had a unsettled night, kept waking up coughing, hope I'm not going down with anything. Anyway, will carry on, only the usual chores planned for today, big dog has started shedding, so there's more to vacuum up than usual. I tend to do it twice a day now as the white fur on the wooden floors really shows up.
Leftover gammon tonight, with egg and chips. I've got some broccoli cheese left so will have that with mine.
Nothing else to report, so will wish everyone a good day. Take care.

Morning all - thanks for the start @WickedLady4. I've been clearing out a bedside drawer, it had a surprisingly large amount of nonsense so it's more functional now. To soothe my spirits I also ordered a neon pink jacket online 😱just couldn't resist it. And I've booked an eyebrow taming appointment for tomorrow, if anyone remembers Denis Healy (the late politician) my eyebrows are on the way to being the same. No idea why!
After my busy start to the day I only need to go out for some fruit. Weekly banking already done and sprouts prepped for lunch.
Take care all - hope that everyone can keep well or get better.

Morning everyone
Just finishing my breakfast, washing has been put out…it feels quite cool but is supposed to get out nice later.
Little lad was no bother yesterday, he loves to crawl into the hallway and then peeps back round the living room door with a big smile, as if he's been away for hours!
We went down to the care home, to find an ambulance had been called for mam as she had had a black out and her oxygen levels were low. They came very quickly and checked her thoroughly and said she was fine to stay where she was, so that was good. DD picked up little lad after tea, they'd enjoyed their day out and I had a quick chat and a hug with little one, she was excited because she was going to breakfast club today.
I'm going to try to get the weeds pulled out at the front of my house before I go to work, it looks so untidy as the paving stones have gaps between them in places.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, thanks @WickedLady4 for starting today's thread.
As expected, yesterday was a lazy day and I didn't get my washing hung out after all because there were showers on and off for a good part of the day. The sun did appear briefly in the afternoon but, by that time, everything was on the airer and I couldn't be bothered taking it all out so there it stayed. I did, however, go round the house and bled the radiators ready for when the heating needs to go on so that's another winter prep job out of the way.
Today's forecast is for sunny intervals, rain unlikely and a gentle breeze with feels like temperatures sitting around 17-18 deg. Daylight hours are getting much shorter with sunset time now 19.42 and rapidly getting earlier by the day. 😕 Usual Monday chores to do with the addition of emptying the cupboard under the kitchen sink as I have a plumber coming later for a minor job. I know there's nothing under there to dispose of but I will give the shelves a wipe down once he's been. DS is trying to get an appointment for a blood test after recently being prescribed statins but doesn't seem to be getting on well with them (tiredness and muscle aches) so maybe he needs a lower dosage or a different one. Tea tonight is h/m pizza with the last of the salad bits from the fridge.
@Chrisca50 - Good luck at the dentist today.
@dp1 - That must have been a worrying moment for you but I'm glad to hear your mam didn't need to be taken to hospital.
Take care all, hugs for the poorly ones and the sleepless.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.6 -
