DAB radio for an old lady

I am looking at buying a DAB radio for an elderly relative.

I would like to get one with big buttons and maybe the facility for five preset stations….any thoughts on which one I should buy?

I can't suggest any specific models etc however I would pay a visit to a specialist retailer (like an independent Hi-Fi shop) rather than the High Street retailers. The staff in these shops are usually more knowledgable and will be able to tell you what they have sold to customers with similar requirements. If you don't have one locally then you could try John Lewis. My local one has a good range on display and the staff are usually very good. Pick a quiet time of day and you will get more out of them then on a Saturday lunchtime!

I have the May What Hi-Fi.On page 9 it features the Pure Sonus-1 XT. This is the first "talking digital radio" and the Royal Nat Inst for the Blind helped to design it. The mag gives it the max 5 stars, but it is £120 though.
