Good morning Scarlet, thanks for starting.

Friday again, I'm sure the weeks didn't go this quickly when I was working. It's been hammering down all night, but today is forecast to be dry, I will get to the petrol station to fill the car, but not today as after all this rain the road will be flooded.

Yesterday I got 2 loads of washing dry and the laundry bin was empty, but not for long. No plans at present for today, but I'm sure I'll find something to do. Chunky battered fish fingers, chips and mushy peas for tea.

Morning all.

It's raining here, which is a bit grim as DH and I are going to check out a 4 mile walk I'm leading for a group of friends next month. Hopefully it will stop in a while plus the walk is an hour's drive away. It starts from a closed down pub that's been converted into a Velo Cafe so we can have lunch there regardless.

I still have a pair of trousers to shorten, although I've now tried them on to get the correct length. I was too weary to do them yesterday, having had DGS2 here since 9am. He did help by using the hand held hoover whilst I used the bigger one but wasn't keen on dusting and polishing!

I managed to plant out the strawberry babies yesterday and they’ll be very pleased to be enjoying some gentle rain. Today is unplanned other than making chocolate and blackberry brownies - new recipes so 🤞

Morning all - driving rain and blustery wind since last night, here's my view this morning. Come back heatwave! Thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons

Clearing out the car boot yesterday was quite cathartic. There was so much stuff which I'd just stored so getting it all out made much more space. Then I decided to take away the rubbish, once I started the car the oil warning light popped on. I made it to the local petrol station, bought oil, put it in and then also filled up the windscreen washer container which made me feel unnecessarily virtuous. The swimming bag was also cleared out and towels washed.

The food delivery didn't arrive. I emailed the company, they contacted DHL so it's supposed to come today. I'm not hopeful as the tracking message online has changed from 'coming Friday' to 'coming Thursday'. Now I have to wait in for another day, think the fridge needs attention. As I got stuck into the car the plans for the venison and bananas went by the way. Maybe later.

Morning everyone

Sunny but blustery this morning. I'm going to go up to the food larder this morning, see what I can get today. Then I'll drop the food off at home and get the bus down to work, should work as long as the bus home from town isn't running late.

I enjoyed work yesterday, it was nice to see the little ones, manager was still talking about the changes she's going to make, though hasn't actually done anything yet…she didn't think she should have to go in during the holidays! I had a burst of activity when I got home and got my friend to hold the ladder while I cut the bushes down in my garden, then had a cuppa with her. I rang little one who told me she'd had a lovely day at school and her new teacher is brilliant, oh and that she loves being in year 3.

Right best move and make my lunch, hope everyone has a good day x

many thanks for the birthday wishes, it was a lovely, pottering day spent in the garden enjoying the sunshine and chatting with my neighbour.

I have just had a grocery delivery, as it is raining I have had to dry everything off, I must remember to look at the forecast in future and try and get a dry day, I forgot all about it having had such a dry summer. Hubby is kindly putting everything away for me while I have a slice of malt loaf and cup of tea.

Not much planned for today, I want to visit mum as I couldn’t visit the other day due to being unwell, and I have my blanket to crochet this morning,

Housework can wait until tomorrow morning when I have the house to myself

Had a lovely meeting yesterday with my old school friend who I haven't actually seen for over 50 years. I joined a page on Faceache for my old secondary school so we have both been on there for a couple of years but it was nice to compare what we've been up to since our school days face to face!

Shopping done, not to cool out there but the wind is getting up now as the forecast predicted.

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.

We had more rain overnight and this morning has started off dull but at least dry. It should pick up soon with sunny intervals appearing, although it's going to be a cool day with temperatures only reaching the mid-teens. Sunset is happening a little earlier each day and already I feel like hibernating!

I didn't seem to get a great deal done yesterday but hope to be a little more productive today. There's the usual Friday admin to do and I'll pop up to the shop for milk and a TV guide later this morning. After that I want to start putting summer clothes into storage and replacing them with something warmer. It wouldn't hurt to get a couple of sofa throws out too for evening use - I don't want to put the heating on just yet! Fish, chips and mushy peas for tea tonight.

Nothing else of great importance happening in my world so I'll just wish everyone a good day. Take care all. xx

morning everyone I’m late today just a quick one from me while I have a coffee and a sit down for a minute I’ve done the food waste I’m off out to the charity shop now it will be something easy tonight I’m away to Northumberland for the week in the morning I packed yesterday it’s just casual walking about stuff looking forward to a change of scenery. I will be reading along while I’m away Must dash thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
